The headline screams ”Romney to parade all 140 members of his ‘dysfunctional’ family in make or break push for the White House.” Really? Anything the least bit pejorative here? “Dysfunctional? “Make or break push?”
Aside from the stunningly biased tone of this article, I’m struck by the lack of similar treatment of Obama and his family.
You want “dysfunctional?” What about the drunkard dad who basically died at his own hand, the promiscuous mom and lingering questions about paternity, the illegal aunt and illegal drunken uncle, continuing questions about the president’s religion and birth and the Kenyan brother having to beg for medical assistance for his son from a political opponent of the president after the refusal of assistance from that same president.
Make or break push? “Stuttering bid?” Where does that come from? Last polls I saw showed Romney and Ryan up in every battleground state with some even whispering about a “landslide!” Is this another of those clever hit pieces we are so frequently warned about?

“Struggling to overcome the negative impact of his various gaffes,” I’m no journalist but I can recognize the art of “glittering generalities.” As for the “struggle,” what I see from these sidelines is a struggle to contain the crowd sizes at the campaign stops and the impact of all those dollars flooding into the Romney/Ryan campaign!
You really think that the Republican convention is “likely to focus on economic issues?” Well, that would certainly set them apart from what I see coming from the DNC or Obama campaign.
“Former Mormon bishop,” as professional journalists you don’t find that the least bit pejorative? Where do I see “former Muslim” or “former member of ‘black theology’ congregation,” associated with the president?
Let’s not forget the sins of the family, like “Jane (who was obliged by a failed marriage to take up an acting career).” OMG! What does this say of the president, about all that Hollywood support? Can’t you just heard it now, “just give me the campaign cash, you harlot.” Has the Obama campaign auctioned a three dollar “date” with one of those harlots, yet? Who’s in charge of that “War on Women?”
And, now here is a real news flash! The Romneys aren’t saints! Oh, please, please tell me that ain’t so! (Please, that’s sarcasm) Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of the bible or the Christian concept of sin understands how stupid a comment like that is!
Here’s another news worthy flash! The Romneys have five successful sons and eighteen grandchildren! So the Romneys have learned the secrets of procreation? Boy oh boy, who have thunk?!
