Obama Administration Agrees To Release 4 Taliban Leaders

The Obama administration has tentatively agreed to release four Taliban leaders from Guantanamo prison and allow them to resettle in Afghanistan, Paul Sperry of the Hoover Institution wrote in the New York Post. Sperry, the author of the book “Infiltration,” said that Afghan President Hamid Karzai wants to free some top Taliban commanders who led deadly attacks on American troops when the United States invaded Afghanistan after 9/11. Among the prisoners are some of the “most dangerous detainees remaining at Gitmo,” and include a former Taliban deputy intelligence chief, former interior minister, defense chief and military commander, Sperry wrote. “Shockingly, the Obama administration has tentatively agreed to release the four suspected terrorists if Karzai can certify they no longer pose a threat,” he said. “They must disavow terrorism and any allegiance to al-Qaida.” Karzai claims his government obtained such assurances in a recent trip to Gitmo, according to Sperry. He noted that a recent intelligence report found that more than one in four of the 600 former Guantanamo detainees rejoined the jihad. The agreement comes as there appears to be rampant infiltration of Taliban insurgents in the Afghan national army and police, he wrote. The Obama administration agreed to the deals, according to Sperry, in order to help stabilize Afghanistan ahead of the 2014 withdrawal of troops. “They also help Obama fulfill his 2008 campaign pledge to empty and shutter Gitmo,” he wrote. “Antiwar activists among his base are upset he’s freed just 70 detainees, leaving 168. The White House last month confirmed the president still plans on closing the prison camp.”

Do they have to be alive?

“Oops! Sorry folks, we had just executed them right as we made the agreement and didn’t realize it.”

Never happen with obama’s crowd, though.

American Taliban in Indiana courtroom for trial
1 hour ago • The Associated Press

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A cluster of U.S. marshals surrounded an American-born Taliban fighter as he was brought into an Indianapolis courtroom for a trial on his lawsuit challenging a ban on daily group prayers in prison.

John Walker Lindh is serving a 20-year sentence at the federal prison in Terre Haute. He was charged with supporting terrorists after he was captured by U.S. troops in Afghanistan and later pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

Lindh was wearing an olive green prison uniform and a white prayer cap when he was brought shackled into the courtroom in downtown Indianapolis Monday morning for the first day of the trial over the lawsuit. He smiled at his mother who was sitting in the third row of the courtroom gallery.

Taliban behead 17 for singing and dancing in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan (WLS) - The Taliban beheaded 17 people for attending a mixed-gender party where there was music and dancing, Afghan officials reported on Monday.

The decapitated bodies were abandoned at a roadside in southern Afghanistan, according to Mullah Sharafuddin, the governor of Kajaki district in Helmand province.

Sperry is rehashing a story that began earlier this year. The detainees are a part of a reconciliation with the Taliban.

The detainees are not going back to Afghanistan for at least a year or more, but will be living in Dubai.

Their families were relocated to Dubai last December for the purpose of keeping the detainees from returning to Afghanistan until their good faith is shown in peace talks.

“Good faith” regarding terrorists/negotiation with terrorists/understanding the recidivism of jihadis and “reformed jihadis” ... leaves me cold.

Thanks for the ping Gandalftb.

This is the stuff of campaign ads; and should be shouted out at Convention. Imagine our Military. . .they have only to wait. Of course; they are now 'armed' at all times (such progress; after such loss that is.) Meantime; Obama cannot do enough, to serve. . .our enemies.

Beyond sickening; the Obama Muslim outreach. He simply cannot help himself. Muslim heart demands it.

Obama is crazy.

Or stupid.

Or both.

Both, because he is a knowledgeable, acting traitor.
