Florida's former Republican Gov. Charlie Crist will be a speaker at the Democratic National Convention.
An official with President Barack Obama's campaign said Sunday that Crist will speak at next week's convention in Charlotte, N.C., but the day hasn't been worked out.

Can we say political opportunist? Whatever the way the wind blows, suddenly he's backing every democrat and jumping through every Democrat hoop he can find. My guess is the Dems are happy, but I don't know why. People really don't like this kind of pandering - that's one of the reasons Crist lost so handily to both Republicans AND Democrats this last election.
Guess he's tired of just being a lawyer.
Perhaps this is to mirror Artur Davis, former Democrat, speaking at the RNC?

Charlie should ask Arlen Specter how well the Dems treat former GOP pols once they’ve delivered. Based on history, this will be Charlie’s last hurrah.
He was easily bought for pennies on the dollar.
Most people learn the falacy and error of socialism as they mature. Poor Crist has regressed and now is the picture of a fool. No foundation, no character, no convictions, he comes into whatever pool of idiocy he can to find a place at the table. Now he is sitting with pigs.
