Politico has an interesting and provocative interview with Mitt Romney this morning — although perhaps not provocative enough for some of the passionate base. After dumping the “nice guy but failed President” argument in the overwhelming volume of nasty attacks from Barack Obama and his campaign, including insinuations of being a felon, a murderer, and a modern-day slaver, Romney tells Politico that the theme will return at the Republican National Convention this week in Tampa:
Mitt Romney conceded President Barack Obama has succeeded in making him a less likable person, but he offered a defiant retort to those hoping he will open up this week: “I am who I am.” …
“I know there are some people who do a very good job acting and pretend they’re something they’re not,” Romney said. “You get what you see. I am who I am.”
To press the point, he said the GOP would even try to turn Obama’s still-high personal favorability rankings back on him at its convention this week, by making the simple case to voters: nice guy, failed president.

He is NOT a nice guy...he is an animal...a Marxist, progressive who wants to steal my money(and another election) and leave me defenseless and reliant on government for everything.
I just wish the Republicans weren't so friggin touchy feely about this man. Tell the truth when the truth is so obvious.

No kidding, if Willard would go after the Kenyan the same way he was out for conservative blood during the primaries, we’d stand a fighting chance.

Plus there’s the fact that many don’t believe Romney’s nice guy routine after what we saw in the primaries. We know all about Obama’s “get in their faces” game.
That is how he should describe him.
My hope, such as it is, is that Romney energizes his final campaign against the “Dark [evil, that is] One” with the cut-throat zeal he showed in this primary season and the one before.
You don’t beat liberals, progressives, Democrats and all their selfish overloading victim groups by being nice - in any form factor. You beat them by crushing them with turnout and the seething hatred that exists among any real taxpayers who’ve had to witness his pillaging.
As for these “independents,” I submit they are moral and intellectual cowards who crave attention and pandering - as far as I’m concerned they’ve made up their minds already but won’t tell.
I guess it’s all in the timing. Unfortunately, the birth of BHO preceded Roe v. Wade. Otherwise his mother would have had the option of not being punished with a baby, and we wouldn’t have to be punished with the possibility of a second term.
Althought, surrogates do have to point out the nastiness of the Obama campaign.
Its like a coach that gets fired for losing; nice guy, bad coach.
Obama is as likable as anyone else that thinks sucking the brains out of unborn children is nice.

0bama’s 2012 campaign of manufactured crisis, class warfare, and political exploitation, is right out of the Bolshevik playbook of 1917-1918. It’s the only game they know.
He is much worse than that. He is a narcissistic ideologue with an agenda that runs contrary to the principles this county was built upon. I believe that he doesn't like whole groups of people.
He is not a nice man, but I reckon they’ve got to do this.
I think the fact that Obama’s campaign is running out of money is an important story. He had money, and could have delayed the massive spending, but chose to go ahead and spend most of it in previous months. As it turns out, he didn’t spend the money wisely, either. This is analogous to what he’s doing to the country.
WE won’t have any money in a few years, because he’s spent it all, too early, and on the wrong things.
How many time has Obama shot the "FU" finger at those he disagrees, even Hillary.
Obama is a snot, not a nice guy. He and his entire band of commiehoods are snots and bullies, including the commiehood media. Why pretend Obama is a nice guy?
