what are the odds that a teen who put a slug in a coin laundry (and nothing more) will cheat and euchre someone out of their mortgage. it ought to be left up to the bank, as they’re the ones responsible for any employee’s misbehavior anyhow.

They'll be held more than responsible -- they'll be economically punished severely by a jury if this man victimizes anyone while on the job.

If you knowingly employ a con and that con victimizes someone connected with the work he's employed to do, it's likely the business will be held financially responsible.
