The story went the added extra step to mention the neighbor had a permit, not that he needed it to perform the civil action he did.
I just received my CCW from Florida and it is amazing the feeling of security one has when you receive it. Now we need to get the law revised so if we happen to drive through a campus with the weapon as they say consealed, that we cannot be arrested and have our CCW taken away from us.
I’m in TN and the security guard at my granddaughter’s school told my husband that he was more than welcome to bring his gun on school property locked in his truck when he came to drop her off, pick her up, or any other activity.
Most places in TN are more reasonable than places in other states. Some of the law is still stupid though. When I was going to night school at our local college I was told that as a student, even though I had a permit and was over 50 (not a kid), that I could not leave my gun locked in my truck but if I were a visitor, I could.
The perps also have to factor in the other 98% of persons doing concealed carry in Tennessee that DON'T have a permit :>} Most who conceal carry likely do not have a permit. Hopefully within the next session or so our lawmakers will allow conceal carry without permit as it should be. But our current RINO governor is a former member of Bloombergs mayors against guns. Current Perp friendly laws in Tennessee don't even allow you to carry a club in your vehicle for protection.
