AMEN! to that, dear brother in Christ AMEN!
Paraphrased from an old Chinese manuscript I read... think it was one of the tai chi classics, not sure...”Even if you have power like a mighty army, you will need imagination as a scout to lead it.”
Evidently, Neodarwinism has the power. But I'm uncertain about the second part....
Thank you so much, Tuanedge, for the telling observation.
Actually the manuscript speaks to an individual’s spirit or life energy, but since yours is a private reality, I won’t intrude further.
Actually, Eve got it wrong.
God never said not to touch it , but rather to not eat of it.
[ Actually, Eve got it wrong. God never said not to touch it , but rather to not eat of it. ]
So then, Mah!... they were allowed to climb it, make salves of the bark, hang hammocks from it, maybe build a tree house, throw picnics under it, and use the shade(of it) in the noonday sun?..
However I believe at least Genesis Ch 1-3 are metaphorical.. and there was no actual Tree.. It is a story used to impart things (simply) hard to describe in any other way.. Jesus mostly spoke metaphorically as well.. course we call them parables.. When dealing with people on a mental level of a New York City Rapper, you gotta keep it simple..
Of WHAT manuscript are you speaking here, Tuanedge?
Do you think I have a beef with "an individuals spirit or life energy?"
I'm sorry. I'm just not following you here, and probably won't be able to, unless you provide me with a clue to understanding your observation, or an idea of where you're going with this.
I do hope for clarification, that you will "intrude further."
All God said was to not eat.
And I don’t think it was metaphorical because then we’re left trying to determine what it was a metaphor for and that leads to all kinds of speculation. The other writers of Scripture didn’t seem to consider Genesis a metaphor and Jesus Himself spoke of Genesis and Adam and Eve as if they were indeed real and factual people.
