August 27, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In the aftermath of the Family Research Council shooting, prominent voices on the Left have not tapped down their violent rhetoric against their opponents. Two Baby Boomer celebrities have taken to Twitter to hope pro-life, pro-family individuals and U.S. Congressman Todd Akin suffer a drowning or a same-sex rape, respectively.
Ellen Barkin, 58, played the temptress in 1989's "Sea of Love."
On Sunday, Ellen Barkin expressed her hope that Tropical Storm Isaac would smash up the Republican National Convention in Tampa and drown all its delegates.
She retweeted the message of one of her followers that read: “C’mon #Isaac! Wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean! #RNC ” Barkin did not express any disagreement in her retweet.
The storm is expected to grow into a Category 1 hurricane before slamming into the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
After a number of followers asked if it wasn’t extreme to wish death upon one’s political opponents, Barkin instead blamed the website Twitchy, which is owned by Michelle Malkin, for reporting the tweet. However, as Twitchy pointed out in response, it hadn’t yet reported the event.
Strong language on abortion – that of Senate candidate Todd Akin – also inspired Sixties warbler and mother of transgender “son” Chaz Bono Cher to call for the congressman to be raped by an AIDS victim. Cher tweeted that it would be an act of “kama” - presumably karma - if Missouri Congressman would “get raped by man with HIV/AIDS. Nothing will happen, right? Body shuts down as defense mechanism.”
The opening of the Republican convention has been postponed until Tuesday because of Isaac. Today’s theme, “We Can Do Better,” and keynote speakers such as Sen. Rand Paul and former Democratic Congressman Arthur Davis, will be plugged into an abbreviated, three-day convention.
Barkin, who describes herself as a “Bronx girl” on her Twitter page, has posted a number of vitriolic tweets in the past.
Despite the coverage tweets such as this week’s have earned her, social media outreach may not be her prowess. After the controversy, someone alerted her to an internet hoax on “FB.”
The 58-year-old Barkin, who began her acting career with an uncredited role in Cheech and Chong’s 1978 movie Up in Smoke, replied by asking, “What is FB?”
It demonstrates again the abysmal moral and intellectual level of these people.
All this comes from those who advocate "tolerance"...

Let’s examine the issues and positions to which Ellen objects:
Pro-Life? Ellen supports baby killing?
Anti-Teacher’s Union? Ellen supports the people who place the interest of the Unions ahead of the children?
Pro-Israel? Ellen supports the terrorists and those who want Israel wiped of the face of the earth?
Ellen can’t see the value in supporting Traditional Marriage?
I think Ellen is confused as to which behaviors God has punished over time.
As for Cher and karma:....Chaz....

I went over to Yahoo images to see who she was, Probably 50 or so pictures there, and not a genuine smile in any one of them.

Barkin is a freakin’ drunk. She is always going on twitter ranting insane stuff which makes her fit right in with the rest of the ‘rats.
They have wrought on themselves the opportunity for same fate as their desire upon the others.

I’ve read a few of these peoples tweets.
Cher strikes me as totally emotionally unstable. She’s like a deranged leftoever hippie who talks about world peace and love one minute and how she hates teabaggers the next. No wonder her kids are confused.
Barkin, on the other hand, seems to be a mix of blindingly stupid and downtown mean. She just hates. And she calls all the people she hates, “haters”. She probably should look up “projection” in the psychiatric dictionary.
Twitchy seems to be a phenomenon to some of these folks.
They say things, then walk it back a bit, then say it again. My guess is they hang out with such a rarefied leftist Hollywood crowd that it astounds them when people call them on it.

I never even heard of this woman until I watched part of the Roseanne roast the other night. What a disgusting foul-mouthed contemptible bunch they were.
This woman (?) couldn't even raise her daughter correctly. I can't believe anyone would follow this old hasbeen. As for Barkin, I didn't even know who the heck she is, much less care about what she thinks. I read she will star in "The New Normal". Must be sad to be at the bottom of the barrel when all you can get is a gay tv show.
All of these folks show “the milk of human kindness” that flows naturally through each person. At least that is the comment of those atheists who say that Judeo-Christian morality is useless in the world and at best ‘redundant’ because people are innately kind and gentle.
I wonder if babies cry when in her presence...
I remain amazed that actors (people who recite the thoughts of others with false sincerity) are taken seriously by anyone.
