The Family Research Council poll was conducted by Wenzel Strategies from Aug. 27 to Aug. 28, testing 829 voters for a margin of error of plus or minus 3.38 percent. The sample was 32.7 percent Democrats, 34.1 percent Republicans and 33.2 percent independents.
I don’t remotely believe that Akin is winning right now, but I also don’t believe that McCaskill’s double-digit margin will survive September. Hence Reince Priebus’s conundrum.
Roy Blunt also said this morning that he still thinks Akin will quit, but I’m not sure he himself quite believes it.
Supposedly people are leaning on Huckabee too to get him to change his mind and nudge Akin towards the exit. I don’t think that’s out of the question, actually:
Huckabee may be framing this as a “Mount Carmel moment” now, but if the polls still look awful for Akin in two weeks, he’s going to get nervous about being held responsible for almost singlehandedly propping this guy up on the way to defeat.
That’d be a major black mark on his record ahead of 2016, and he’s already got enough of those (the latest being his endorsement of Dewhurst over Cruz).
That’s what this FRC poll is all about, I assume — reassuring social conservatives who might be wavering in light of the recent gruesome polls from Missouri that Akin’s hanging in there.

I read a satire piece about Akin saying mother's milk prevents homosexuality...even though it was clearly marked as satire, the vast majority of commenters believed it.
May be true but the source of the poll is suspect for bias.
I hope Wenzel Strategies is right here but if I were a democrat being polled I would say anything that helps keep him in the race.
I looked up Wenzel Strategies and saw where they claimed 20% of GOP voters would vote for zerobama. That doesn’t seem quite right.
The anti-akins people are the ones egging him on to stay in the race.
The pro-Republican folks are the ones who want someone in the race that can win.
This poll fails the sniff test so we’ll just wait for corroboration.
And just who would that be? The problem is, eventually you have to replace a "generic" Republican with a real one.
Moderates supports McCaskill 63-22, yet Very Liberal supports her only 58-34? That is not possible unless the type of shenanigans you’re alluding to is happening, or something else weird happening in their sampling. I’m very skeptical of this poll.
"Ignorant" may be a better description of that person...
This election boils down to one thing; “Anybody but McCaskill.”
LearJet Claire is tied at the hip to Ubama, and she’s going down with him.
The democraps are in big trouble, and this proves it.
FRC wants crazy Akin and got the result it wanted in a poll it paid for.
I don’t think Huckabee has anywhere near 10 mil, Celebrity Networth, has his net worth at 5 mil.

Until there is supporting polls, take it for what it is, and maybe it will be proven true in a few days. If so, Akin will pull this out, and I will eat crow, as much as you want to serve me.

So Huckabee wants Romney to fail and Obama reelected so he can run in 2016? That explains his support for Akin.
Christian Socialist Huckabee, whose inept judgement freed men to commit multiple murders and rape-murder within days and months of release, should be no where near the White House.
The DUmpster trolls posting here in support of akin do not concern me nearly as much as the deluded souls that think akins has greater than zero chance now. The Bell Curve is real.

God really doesn’t care about any particular form of government, he cares more about what individuals do.

God probably does care how and why, individuals vote as they do.
