The Democratic party used to care about poor and working people.
No it didn't. The Democratic Party has always cared about getting poor and working people to vote for them. That was the end of their concern.

The Democratic party used to care about poor and working people. They still do. The poorer they are, the more they care and if they still have a job? Well, they can fix that, too.

All taxes will hit the poor.
No matter how they are calculated, eventually everyone who goes into a store and buys goods or services are paying for it.
Corporate taxes means higher prices, less in your paycheck and fewer jobs.
That affects everyone, not just the CEO's and the share holders.
Individual taxes means less to spend, which means fewer customers for businesses and therefore fewer jobs.
Sales taxes - same thing, higher prices for everyone, less business.

The Dems only give a rat’s ass about those who write the big checks and entities that can generate large blocks of votes(legal or not).
Used to, the “working man” might have been sought by the dems, but after both parties colluded in selling out our industrial base by offshoring jobs, the dems are left with catering to the .gov unions, and other interest groups that write the before mentioned big checks.
Anymore, I believe the Republicans more so gives a damn about the ‘average working person’ than the democrats, but that still isn’t saying much. Personally, I believe the elites from both parties are against us.(spoken as a member of that ‘average working guy’ group)

Many budget experts agree that federal budgets simply cant be balanced with spending cuts alone.Well, since it's spending, and not revenue, that's moved sharply in the direction away from balance with the other component, "expert" must be liberal speak for "moron".
Well also need substantial additional revenue, most of which could be generated by a carbon tax.
Once again, liberals show that they think they can have their incentive cake and eat it too. Cigarette tax redux.
