The Wall Street actor is being considered for the lead role in the Cold War drama, Reykjavik, which takes place over a few days in 1986, when Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev met for peace talks in the Icelandic capital.

Oh I’m sure this will be a fair, accurate portrayal and not a post-Mortum character assassination.

I'm surprised they don't get Jeff Spicoli to do it.

Hopefully when Douglas was being treated for throad cancer, someone wispered in his ear that under Obamacare at his age he would have been sent out the door with a pack of cigarettes to help him through his passage.

I don’t know if it will be. His Dad, Kirk Douglas, was an old friend of Ronald Reagan’s. Why I say that, is that both he and Charlton Heston were invited to the burial service of Pres Reagan out in Calif., neither he or Heston were able to go due to illness! They mentioned him specifically as being an old friend, as well as Heston! If this is still true, I don’t think his Dad would like it much if he played Reagan in a bad light! So, who knows?

This is a movie that should be boycotted before they even shoot it. If they lose 50% of their audience maybe they won’t go forward.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
I always look to see if a movie is made by Participant. At least I know the agenda. IIRC, there was a recent movie that pleasantly surprised me; made by Participant but not completely Leftist. Might have been the one with Clooney and Gosling. The complete sleaze was a Democrat.

Another Hollywood whore, not too principled to resist cashing in on the life and image of a President whose supporters they'd spit on without a second thought!

Jimmy Carter Man From Plains explores both the private and public sides of Jimmy Carter, whose intense sense of justice compels him to pursue, with undiminished energy and hope, his lifelong and deeply spiritual vision of reconciliation and peace. “””
Did it also ‘explore’ the multiple bankruptcies that Jimmah Carter filed?
Over & Over again. He couldn’t tun a business worth peanuts, either. Obama & he have that in common!

Perhaps Jim Caviezel
I would love that, but fat chance Hollywood(and Participant in particular) would risk casting a Conservative in the role. That would draw attention to the lie that liberal activism and talented artists/actors are one and of the same.
