Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz made a surprise visit to the Republican National Convention Center (RNC) in Tampa Thursday afternoon.
Shultz somehow made it through the massive security perimeter of the convention and into the convention center where the press corps is being housed this week. The convention center is next door to the Tampa Times Forum where the official RNC activities are taking place.
Dozens of reporters crowded Shultz, who was wearing a distinguishable pink suit, as she walked down the hallway of the convention center and into the Google Lounge set up inside the bloggers room. Shultz made a brief statement to cameras inside the Google Lounge about the need to support the nation’s veterans, and then promptly walked out of the room. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) also spoke at the briefing about the war in Afghanistan.
The DNC and its surrogates have an office located just outside the security perimeter of the convention, where they have been holding briefings for reporters since Tuesday. However, the DNC chair herself had not been present at any of the party committee’s shenanigans until today.
How Wasserman Shultz, who is extremely recognizable, especially to political insiders at the convention, made it into the convention perimeter, with aides, is a mystery. Most likely, the DNC had operatives obtain guest passes to the convention that they later transferred to DWS.
This has been such a nice convention with such good-looking people....until now.
Being physically thrown out is probably what she wanted. Looks to me like she got MUCH further in than she expected, and didn’t have a gameplan based on making it that far. Thus the haphazard statement about Vets and the confused actions regarding the Conservative media.
Personally, I think it would havebeen great for Reince to show up and call her bluff by offeing her every courtesy, the opportunity to go down on the floor and meet real Conservatives face-to-face and even the priviledge of addressing the convention (without written speech/notes or TelePrompTer tho)
With some of the other stories I’m reading I wouldn’t doubt it for a moment.
Maybe she's taking over for the late John Murtha in snuggling up to the Code Pinko's,
the Rats have always had a good relationship with the crazies.

I am hoping this irrelevant beast was totally ignored by the real people. It goes without saying the press followed her around as if they were all in heat. She loves that sort of attention.

That was precisely my reaction.
I am sick to death of the hooligan reprobates in the Democratic Party claiming to have the standing to pass judgment on my beliefs and actions and to act like they determine the values upon which the who country operates. Since when does having NO morals qualify you to establish moral and behavioral standards?
