A large quantity of maple syrup in a Quebec warehouse has gone missing.
Following a routine inventory check, the Federation of Quebec Maple Syup Producers found empty barrels at the St-Louis-de-Blandford warehouse, where the syrup is temporarily being held, suggesting that their contents had been emptied into other containers before being taken away for illegal distribution.
The warehouse held over 10 million pounds of maple syrup worth more than $30-million.
....
The FQMSP is responsible for the global strategic maple syrup reserve and represents approximately 10,000 maple syrup producers from within Quebec.

Who would have thought there was such a thing as a global strategic maple syrup reserve?

Didn't you once post about a DOD plan to invade Canada if maple syrup shipments were with-held?

(I could eat it raw, but why do that when I have a fire.)

How many tanker trucks visited the place while nobody noticed?
And how can all that maple syrup show up somewhere else without anybody noticing?

Headline: Obama to release syrup to ease shortage.
President Obama announced today that he will release
syrup from the global strategic maple syrup reserve
in order to make up for the dwindling supplies from
the middle east. More to follow.

I wonder if bombs or fuel can be made with this stuff.. Maybe those Canadian Muslims are gonna ‘sticky’ us to death!

They are saying “up to” the capacity of the warehouse is gone... shoo-wee! Why aren’t they weighing every single barrel now? If I had a syrup warehouse and found that some of my barrels had been drained, I’d check the whole shebang out post haste.

Maybe an alien species consumes it like as if it was whiskey to them?
Very good sci-fi novel about that scenario, thanks to John Ringo I believe.

Bostonians still talk about it today. Stuff of legend.
Hussein will probably bring it up during the debates and blame Romney for the *Dark Tide* [as it was called.]
