Yahoo ^ | 31 Aug 12 | Elspeth Reeve

....Karl Rove has repeatedly tried to push the crazies out of the Republican Party—Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell got subtle nudges, for example—but with Todd Akin, the Senate candidate in Missouri with odd theories about rape, Rove is giving more of a shove. Right over a cliff. Bloomberg Businessweek's Sheelah Kolhatkar reports that a breakfast with Republican donors on in Tampa Thursday, Rove joked, "We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!"

He ain't leaving.

We can either concede the seat to a vulnerable, publicly crooked Democrat, or we can beat her with the guy who got nominated.

Seems like a fairly obvious choice to me.

If this is an actual quote from Rove, he’s the one that needs to be given a push out, or draged of stage with the perverbial hook! Why can’t we get the Bush’s and Rove types to go away already. There time has past!!!!

He ain't leaving.

And he's not intimidated by Rove and the GOPe.

Rick Tyler, former campaign manager of Newt Gingrich, is now working with the Akin campaign.

And new commercials attacking McCaskell paid for by the Akin campaign have hit the air ways countering her Leftwaffe -- No Thanks to Rove and the GOPe.

The question is, play with the cards dealt, or withdrawl. The latter option is the only one that has a quaranteed negative outcome.

Sounds like Rove got caught openly plotting the death of a candidate for the U.S. Senate ~ I believe there’s a federal law that makes it a felony to engage in such an activity when the target is a candidate for public office, and this guy is also currently a member of the House. http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/18C41.txt Bye bye Carl!

Karl Rove needs to get over himself. Todd Akin apologized. Most Missourians have forgiven him his somewhat odd theory which though odd was provided with the best intent which was to counter the stupid canard that rape and incest some how validate abortion. Rape pregnacies are rare in context of all pregancies and abortions related to rape and incest are also rare at 1.5% of all abortions according to liberal Guttmacher Institute but that aside we don’t need to argue these points again.

The point is that Todd Akin is still in the race and he has recovered a lot of ground. Two polls have show he has reovered and is either tied or leading Claire McCaskill. I gave Todd a donation yesterday and plan to continue. We can and should win this seat and it is most certainly extremely winnable far more so than the CT seat or other long shots.

It is very important that we do everything we can to win this seat because if we don’t this kind of behavior of throwing conservatives under the bus and protecting Rhinos no matter what they do or say will become the norm.

My first reaction to the Akin incident was, oh crap, let’s get rid of him, the more the GOPe comes out against him, the more I want him to stay and win, do you realize the how fun it would be to see this guy in the Senate taking on all the Rinos there??? Might even send him some cash.....

At this point, I support Akin just because Karl Rove hates him.

If Rove had gone after the ‘Rats attacking his boss with 1/1000th of the gusto that he attacks conservatives with, W’s legacy would be a lot different. Rove is an idotic and nutless turd.

Nice try, Yahoo to keep the Palin is crazy meme up.

Problem is, she has much more experience in governing than McLame, Bidencretin, or the Obamadork.

And, I betcha that she’d do much better in one of my classes (that’s in real classes in math/EE/physics) than those other three.

Perhaps we could try it sometimes. Be prepared to admit that the Obamadork really is a vapid, stupid, lying piece of mental nothingness.

Karl Rove managed to make me think more highly of Todd Akin. Why am I not surprised?
