I have a friend whose family knows Michelle’s mother; they have been crystal clear that the elderly Mrs. Robinson regularly says that she’ll be in Hawaii next year permanently with her daughter and granddaughters. Might this just be due to Michelle being unhappy that Reggie Love is back int he WH?

Democrats are already working to locate an acceptable property in Hawaii for the Obamas to live... I'd like to see an example of their vision of "acceptable" housing, and wonder exactly how would it be purchased/rented.

Yep, Hawaii is far too isolated. They'll go to some leftist bastion like Chicago where Michelle has to worry about him going to the gas station (remember that?).
Obama is going to be 10 times more involved than Bill Clinton has been. Unlike “W”, Obama is going to be in the media spot light until he's dead and buried. Maybe, even after that!

Cripes, if Obama wants to live in a Gehry building, all he has to do is move a few blocks west to Washington Park or south to Woodlawn - there’s plenty of decrepit ghetto housing there that looks as tumbledown as any of the crap that Gehry ever designed.
