The simple fact is that the state is never going to force a rape victim to bear a child that is the product of the rape.
Abortion is wrong, and our society (especially the younger generation) is coming around to this viewpoint. A position such as yours that a rape victim should be forced to give birth to a rapists child only sets back the pro-life movement.
Would it be your contention that the rape victim should be raise this child as well? And if not, maybe she should have to pay child support so that someone else could raise the child?
There are a lot more ectopic pregnancies in this country than there are rape pregnancies. These little ones are innocent too are they not? How would you handle those in your perfect world?
Over 50 million babies have been murdered since roe/wade. That should be our focus.
What you don’t understand is that it was exceptions to the unalienable right to life that opened the door to abortion on demand. And it is exceptions that keep that door wide open.
It is inevitable, because, once you abandon the principle of equality before the law, you have nothing left, morally, legally, or politically.
By the way, the whole “forcing the rape victim to carry the child” thing is a wicked formulation.
All society is saying is that it is unlawful to kill another innocent human being, no matter what anyone else did to you.
Anything else is barbarism.
