It is a business decision. I wrote both Nickelodeon and parent company Viacom. I told both I will be boycotting their network as long as Jason Biggs is in their employ. I also told them I would be contacting their sponsors and notifying them that I will no longer be buying the products and/or services of any company that would sponsor a network who would keep someone like Jason Biggs in their employ. How they handle it is their decision, but I know I am not alone in my mine. As long as Biggs is in their employ they stand to lose untold amounts. The decision is theirs.

You’re exactly right—it’s a business decision. If peeps really want to get him fired then they need to contact the sponsors of the show. Nickelodeon may be full of left-wingers (I don’t know) but they gotta eat like the rest of us, and if Biggs is derailing the gravy train then Nickelodeon should have no problem dumping him.

Just don’t watch the cartoon that he provides the voice for if you are offended by what he says in public.
Thus far Nick has remained silent. It has not responded to viewers’ or media’s requests for comment. They’re either hoping it will all go away or they’re contemplating a decision. I don’t think it’s just going to go away.
Well, let me explain it to you. The goal in business is to make profit. Reducing customers by offending them reduces profit. Thus, you fire people who reduce your customer base. Strictly business.

I understand the ‘just turn the channel’ sentiment. Parent there is more to it than that. Kids may visit Biggs’ Twitter page and read his vile comments. I also believe had something this vile come from a conservative the left would be demanding his/her firing. That’s a two way street.
Yes, his comments have been well beyond inappropriate. Add his arrogant attitude to the mix AND the fact that had this been a conservative who said this about a liberal woman the left would be demanding his head! This creep needs to be among the unemployed.
Because in every employment contract or job description is the line about doing things that reflect badly on XYZ, Corp.....whether on the clock or not.
Its the same reason some kid on a Big Ten football team gets booted from the team or possibly even expelled for a DUI.
When one of your employees does or says somethink like this, it does reflect badly on your business and the best thing is to sever ties as quickly as possible.
Don’t try and couch this as a free speech issue, its not.
Along with rights go responsibilities, and Biggs abused his.
He needs to e taught that there are consequences for what you do and say.
Being forced to live under a bridge out of a shopping cart would be a good object lesson.
