0bama: "Let's see, how can I use this Iran situation in ANY way to help ensure my reelection in November"?

You seem to misunderstand Obama's prime directive. As a Muslim, Obama's direction is to do all he can to ensure Iran gets nuclear weapons so it can attack Israel.

As an aside, he does all he can to weaken America economically, morally, militarily.....

You have noticed Obama acts exactly like a traitor would act. That's because Obama is a traitor. Obama could not be stupid enough to do everything wrong. His advisors are smart enough to do everything that will hurt America. It's called treason.

I would think a standard bunker buster, could cause the underground factories to be buried, to such an extent, that it would take years to recover from the damage....

“Yes. Just about everything.”

Alberta’s Child doesn’t appear to have a clue as to what’s going in in the ME. Rather than helping the whole situation ( and Israel) the FUBO Admin is threatening Israel if they take unilateral action. FUBO is scared sh*tless that Israel will attack Iran and the Jews in this country will finally see the error of their ways and vote for Romney.

Our Bond cannot be broken, even by The Quisling Ubama.

We still believe in what the U.S.A./Israel stands for, even if the leader of the regime doesn't.

It is really difficult to see where this road leads. Sadly Israel does not have a lot of friends at this time and really needs to be able to count on the USA to watch it's back. Something tells me Obama is very reluctant to do so. In fact I think Obama is hostile to Israel and secretly sides with Islam. An Israelly strike in Iran would force him out of the closet and reveal him to be an anti-Semitic.

Unfortunately for Israel things will end badly if the USA does nothing helpful.

Israel needs the USA refueling capacity to run enough sorties to bomb Iran nuclear facilities...

Uh, OK. Then I guess they're out of luck, right? Or maybe they should have figured that out when they develop their own military forces as a sovereign nation, right?

An acquaintance of mine who returned from a trip to Israel not long ago had an interesting take on the whole situation that I hadn't even thought about until he laid it out for me.

He said Iran's "threat" to Israel is not a military one. Israel is perfectly capable of defending itself against Iranian aggression, and has been capable of this for decades. The real threat, he says, is an economic one -- because the Israeli government is afraid that a lot of wealthy Israeli citizens who are capable of living and succeeding anywhere in the world will move out of the country if they feel threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran. These people aren't Zionists at heart ... they simply like living in Israel but would have no problem packing up and moving to New York or Los Angeles next week if necessary.

That's his take, anyway.

AS FAR AS WE KNOW Israel needs the USA refueling capacity to run enough sorties to bomb Iran nuclear facilities...

They've had a long time to apply some of the best minds to the round trip problem.

They have no end of urgency.

I wouldn't bet against Israel and The God of Abraham on this problem being insoluble without the help of obama and the moon god of islam.

Would you?

I'm not even sure what Israel would be looking to gain from all this. The political undercurrents in the Middle East would seem to indicate that popular Islamic governments in the region would all be stronger in their anti-Israel stances than the governments were ten years ago. Does anyone in a leadership position really think Israel is better off with the new governments in Egypt, Libya, and potentially Syria?

Maybe it's just me ... but I really don't get it.

why doesn't Netanyahu do something about it instead of whining that Barack Obama isn't doing something about it?

Because of the anti-Israel sentiment in the area and the extended war on Israel that could result if she attacked and the US wasn't behind her? Israel is a nation much less equipped for unilateral full-on war than the US.

Isn't that quite obvious?

"Unfortunately for Israel things will end badly if the USA does nothing helpful."

I'm betting the Israeli Prime Minister put the U.S. on notice that things will end badly for us if we don't get our ducks in a row. To have a Prime Minister directly meet with, and discuss these issues in a confrontational manner with an Ambassador means only one thing. Israel desired to send a clear and unambiguous message: Time. Has. Run out. Israel will strike at a time of its choosing. American elections be damned. Political considerations no longer matter. We have been put on notice. It's 0300 hrs. The phone is ringing.

If that’s the case, then like I said ... Israel isn’t even really a sovereign nation at all.
