And then there was the Cash-for-Clunkers scheme that sent a lot of usable used cars to the crusher and that boosted the value of the used cars that remained. Great for CarMax!

It also made it next to impossible to find parts for those of us with older cars. The parts we could have found have been crushed. I know this for fact.
