As someone who deals with a lot of Native Americans on a daily basis, I can’t get a handle on about how they feel about Barry this time around. However, the excitement that I saw in 2008 is not there. I do know that a lot of them will say that they are not better off now than they were before they voted for Barry in 2008. The Native Americans in Arizona like John McCain because of his being a veteran and for some of the things he’s done for them as Senator. I was really surprised when a large majority of them went for the “indigenous” Kenyan in 2008.

The article mis-identifies the website address (blog) of a Native American lady who was targeted by V. Jarrett because of her anti-Obama and Constitutional views. I'm not associated with the lady or her site, had never heard of her, but if somebody wanted to see what the fuss is about here's the correct address:

The Obama administration has set up some kind of agency to oversee "indigenous" Muslims that seems to be made to sound like the Bureau of Indian Affairs and has PO'ed a number of folks for whom the word has real meaning.

I think Miki is missing the larger point.
This is more about the UN "granting rights" to a group of people within the sovereign borders of the US. In a nutshell, the UN wants to protect designated “cultures” from having to assimilate into their host country. This is a back door through our sovereignty.
Purpose
The Declaration sets out the individual and collective rights of indigenous peoples, as well as their rights to culture, identity, language, employment, health, education and other issues. It also “emphasizes the rights of indigenous peoples to maintain and strengthen their own institutions, cultures and traditions, and to pursue their development in keeping with their own needs and aspirations”. It “prohibits discrimination against indigenous peoples”, and it “promotes their full and effective participation in all matters that concern them and their right to remain distinct and to pursue their own visions of economic and social development”. The goal of the Declaration is to encourage countries to work alongside indigenous peoples to solve global issues, like development, multicultural democracy and decentralization. According to Article 31, there is a major emphasis that the indigenous peoples will be able to protect their cultural heritage and other aspects of their culture and tradition, which is extremely important in preserving their heritage. The elaboration of this Declaration had already recommended by the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action.

THE BUREAU OF INDEGENOUS MUSLIM AFFAIRS (BIMA) IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION SEEKING STATUS WITH THE UNITED NATIONS AS A NON GOVERMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO). BIMA WAS FOUNDED IN 1992 BY THE LATE HAJJ HESHAAM JAABER. THE OBJECTIVE OF BIMA IS TO PROVIDE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO INDIGENOUS MUSLIMS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Another constituency the current crew of Dems took for granted. Previous generations of Dems started the reparations juggernaut decades ago, and that’s how the Indian Casinos started.
Obama should’ve known better, these things need constant tending.Geez, there were so many angles he could’ve exploited
to hold onto the all important Native American vote, but I guess he and his team are just too stupid to have identified them.

still misses the point. Indians, Aborigines, Hawaiians etc..for want of a better phrase, are ethnic groups.
Muslims are not “indigenousanything.
You can't stop or start being an Indian('cept for Elizabeth Warren)...you CAN stop being a Muslim.

Actually they were just here when we came back. Evidence shows Europeans were here before the Indians. Maybe the Indians wiped the out first and we just got back what was ours.

Here's my experience with American Indians ( I have a very small percentage of Indian blood) When I ran field operations for Catholics Against Kerry I found that for the most part Indians are Socialists who love being on the Democrat dole BUT BUT BUT we talked about aborting babies to the Indians and flipped many - especially the Navajos in New Mexico. Indians don't want the White man to trick their women into killing them off via abortion. If Romney talks pro-life to the Indians he can make headway with them.

If you want to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics. We have collected our studies with threads, links, and discussions on the Agenda 21 thread which can be found here:
