What really pisses me off is how the suck ass media ignores these record high prices now, but every time it went up 1 cent under Bush, it would be headline news.

I remember the likes of CBS, NBC, ABC leading their news with those stories

Gas prices and Iraq war-dead. That’s ALL the MSM talked about in 2005-2007.

You’d think they’d be doing the “Big Oil” blame game.

There are lots of people in this country who do not trust the media. They turn the garbage news off.

The good news is that this is the kind of information that really can't be spun, no matter how hard the media try.

Reminds me of an article I read as far back as a couple of years ago, indicating that Barack Obama's chances for re-election were slim at best because there was no way for him to fabricate stories and get away from two major issues of concern even for people who pay no taxes: rising fuel and grocery prices.

Gas prices being as high as they are right now, are effecting the middle class big time. It is newsworthy yet the media can hardly blame it on Bush so no round the clock coverage.

Everyone who fills up their gas tank is very aware of it and really doesn't need the media to spell it out. On the other hand, these very same people might start wondering exactly why is the media ignoring it. I think the lack of coverage could backfire on our current pres. It could come off like he doesn't care.

OTOH, I can’t figure the recent spate of anti-Obama news & magazine articles. Something’s up.

Even our local paper had an almost verbatim Reince Priebus (sp?) piece (calling Obama a hard-core leftist). This paper was once widely read and thick, now runs a dozen or so pages in total. It’s been way deep in the lib tank for decades, and all of a sudden they publish something way out of their norm.

I wonder if it's possible that they've discovered they're in a hole and put down the shovel?

Or at least stopped digging so hard...

That’s the first thing I could think of, too. But the only problems with that theory is that it’s too straightforward and actually makes sense. :)

This morning, on a CNN gas price segment, the talking heads were saying one thing, while a headline at the bottom of the screen said, “GAS PRICES TO START DROPPING SOON”. I cease to be amazed.

Evertime we pay these prices at the pumps we should remember Obama saying “If you make under $250,000. you will not have to pay more.” We have all paid more because of Obama’s policies and if he wins we will continue to pay more and more and more.

That is why we do not trust the media to tell us the truth.
They are a bunch of biased goof balls.

You Right Wing Nuts don't need to worry cause I've got things under control ... we'll drop gas prices a lot right before the election ... after I raid the Strategic Petroleum Reserve!

Funny stuff....one local news station in Miami has a reporter at Charlotte, and the first report from the DNC focused on....the Republican convention; the hotel accommodations for the Florida delegates and Clint Eastwood’s speech.

You can’t blame the Kenyan for gas prices. Everyone knows the oil companies, which are all owned by the Bush family, got together at Karl Roves house and vowed to raise gas prices every week until Obama I’d defeated.

Wait for it, that’s how it gets reported

They don't ignore it, they simply report it differently:

The morning talk show - very conservative - on KLBJ in Austin had this as a topic earlier. There were the usual callers defending 0 bummer, but several small business owners called in and slammed him for the rising prices.

They do, but almost every working American has to buy gas. And believe me, they’ve been noticing.

So, there is an undercurrent, despite the media’s Obama worship, of knowledge.

People are waking up to the media’s biases. Their support of all things Obama and Liberal have the effect of hurting themselves, as their brand is tied so closly to the democrats.

Tell me, if the democrats lose big in November, will that help or hurt the driveby media?

I just want them on the streets, begging for change, and sleeping in a piss-soaked homeless shelter cot.
