Blacks have a big reason to vote for Romney
The New York Post ^ | September 3, 2012 | John Crudele

Posted on 09/03/2012 10:54:00 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

A recent poll conducted by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal came up with this startling result: Mitt Romney has absolutely no support among black voters.

I’m not saying that he had “little support” or “less support” than President Obama — who, I don’t think I need to remind you, is half-black.

Romney, the official Republican presidential candidate as of last week, polled absolutely no support.

Zero percent for Romney, 94 percent for Obama. (The rest, I presume, will be voting for me.)

I’ll assume the poll is accurate because of the quality of the news organizations involved. Accurate — and mind-boggling.

But not only for the reason you think.

My first thought is that at least a few black people called by pollsters must have said they liked Mitt. Sure, he’s whiter than white, but the guy’s not blazing red with horns.

And even if they don’t care for the candidate himself, a few black people must like his wife, Ann, or the fact that he has successfully supported his many kids and avoided getting arrested during his 63 years on Earth.

(I didn’t actually fact check for arrests but I assume the Republicans have.)

In the typical poll, people also say things they don’t really believe — “I like his name. Sure I’ll vote for him.” Surely a few people must have misspoke to the pollsters!

But there’s another, more important reason why this poll was so shocking: blacks have not done well financially during the Obama Administration....

He could ship them to concentration camps, and they would still vote for him.

What’s the big difference between a ghetto and a konzentrationslager (concentration camp) really?

Did you see the ‘Glen Beck Restoring Love’ event?

It was a beautiful inspiring event yet all white folks in the audience. I don’t get it.

It’s not black against Romney, it’s black against white.

No thinking involved. Pure black racism. This report is disgusting but predictable.

It depends what portion of them have benefitted financially (in the short term anyway) from Obama’s welfare handouts. Let’s not forget Pelosi’s daughter’s video of the welfare office with people, including many blacks, talking about voting for Obama because of the “Obama bucks” they’re getting from him.

Osama will get over 90%, Romney the rest. IIRC correctly McCain did well among older Black males. By well I mean like 10% instead of 5%.

Turnout will be down though, that’s what’s important.

I’m 64, I remember the segregated water fountains and bathrooms. There was no black middle class.

Look around you now. You see many, many black families out for lunch at local restaurants. You see what they drive-the same cars middle class whites drive.

Twenty years ago, if you saw an interracial couple, the male would be black and the female white. Now you can see black females with white men.

‘Notice how criminal gangs are multi-racial now? And not just on TV.

I remember times when, if you saw blacks and whites together in any form, it was because they were thrust together by laws. Now what you see is by choice.

I don’t know how blacks can look around and not see that yes, there are obstacles, but whitey is not the one in their way. At some point, there should be a catharsis, an event or series of events that create a catharsis, a realization of the absurdity of continuing to wallow in a manufactured victimhood that is so culturally debilitating.

I don’t think that game-changing moment will occur during this election, there’s such an emotional investment in the first black President on the part of blacks.

But it will come soon.

Say what you will about Romney, but he went to the NAACP and he didn’t pander to them. That’s what has to happen more often.

Many blacks, like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Larry Elder, Star Parker, Angela McGlowan, Allen West, Reverend Peterson, Bill Cosby, and now Mia Love are attempting to tell their brothers and sisters that they have exchanged one plantation for another-that government dependency is the new plantation. The eureka moment will take place within this analogy, IMHO.

It is just as racist to vote for a candidate because of his race as it is to vote against a candidate because of his race.

The solid racist black block vote has never been so solid as now.

And dont forget there is the racist white vote that votes for Obama because he is black too. The groveling guilt tripping white syndrome brings him a lots of white votes too.

I don’t quite agree that Bill Cosby has completely left the plantation. He was present for racist excursions such as the Al Sharpton-propelled Tawana Brawley fraud.

330,000 Northern Union Whites died 1861-65 to free the slaves and so that Obama could use Affirmative Action. And not even an acknowledgment or “thank you for your sacrifices” on April 16...Emancipation Day.

Maybe Romney-Ryan could mention the fact to those who drop the word Racist so easily.

If I were a minority in a country that elected the first person of my race, and this person was a complete embarrassing disaster, I would be ashamed that such a person would represent me and certainly not vote for him.

I’m inclined to believe there are many Blacks out there that feel this way, but when asked cave to peer pressure and say they will vote obama, but in the privacy and anonymity of the voting booth they will do what is best for them and their community.

"Experts" assume that all voters sit down and rationally analyze their voting choices and then choose the candidate they think will best help them and the country. Mostly them. But more likely a great percentage of voters never analyze anything and simply vote past preferences and biases.

Nobody should vote for Obama on a rational basis. But he still stands a decent chance of getting elected. And the strongest segments of Obama's backers, blacks and under-thirties, are the two segments that have been hurt the most by his malevolent financial policies. Being a Democrat means you don't deal with rationality or logic very often...if at all.

I would be embarassed to be a member of a party that a large percentage of it’s members believed obama would pay their mortgage and fill their gas tanks. Oh, wait! Maybe he DID pay their mortgage and fill their gas tanks. Then I’d be mad to be a member of that party.

Back to embarassment. I’d be embarassed to be in a party that has Sheila Jackson Lee as one of the faces of the party.

So given a choice between Black Obama and White Obama, Black’s are choosing to support Black Obama?

That’s so shocking!!!

Maybe, just maybe, a Mormon, who’s church banned blacks from the priesthood until 1978, was not the best choice the GOP could have come up with, if it hoped to lure black voters.
