Fears Rising, Spaniards Pull Out Their Cash and Get Out of Spain
The New York Times ^ | 9/3/2012 | Landon Thomas, Jr.

It is, Julio Vildosola concedes, a very big bet.

After working six years as a senior executive for a multinational payroll-processing company in Barcelona, Spain, Mr. Vildosola is cutting his professional and financial ties with his troubled homeland. He has moved his family to a village near Cambridge, England, where he will take the reins at a small software company, and he has transferred his savings from Spanish banks to British banks.

“The macro situation in Spain is getting worse and worse,” Mr. Vildosola, 38, said last week just hours before boarding a plane to London with his wife and two small children. “There is just too much risk. Spain is going to be next after Greece, and I just don’t want to end up holding devalued pesetas.”

-——Is this the Spanish version of “Going Galt”?——

I would say no because there is no Galt’s Gulch.

Spain = California =Illinois= Maryland= New York.

England= North Carolina = Texas = Tennessee= Virginia

Almost all OCR software in use was written by a small team of Russians. Adobe, etc. just license the software. However, just try to get documentation on functions beyond standard.

They tell me it's really great ~ you can drive to a burning desert one day, and to the top of a brutally cold mountain the next.

Ever in Bell California at 2 AM ~ on the streets?

I understand it's a town so tough the city council had to be made up of criminals!

There's a USPS installation there where they used to have the big Blimp Factory.

There are SOME types of OCR technology that you don't know about and that stuff wasn't written by Russians.

On the other hand the first guy I ever worked with on OCR was a Jewish guy from Israel ~ and we were fiddling around with aspects of some basic patents held by Rabinow.

We are all screwed because Obama destroyed the world.

This is the problem with the West's globalism. They all hooked their cars to the American engine and then we got an engineer who decided to derail the whole show. It was inevitable that sooner or later America's liberal elitists would fall into an ego trip of narcissism and corruption (amoral materialism) given the amount of power and influence it had. Like the British Kings who dreamed of ruling the world and controling it's wealth, they decided to go for National cultural cleansing, enforcing a corrupt ideology of multi-culturalism (foreign tribalism pitted against the natives) to weaken accountablity to their Nations.

IIRC, the first to introduce it widely was Caere Corporation.

I'd say Pico Rivera at 2AM is roughly equivalent. I've been from Santa Fe Springs to South Compton. I lived on the Oakland waterfront for 9 years.

So what? You really think that's worse than Gary?

Downtown Gary at Noon is a trip and a half.

Been there.

West PIttsburgh at 2 AM looks and is nasty ~ in recent times all of Pitchburg has been pretty nasty.

Bell, back right after they tore down the Blimp factory, had a boom in the stolen car parts business. In the open.

Bathroom tissue is a bulky, unnecessary luxury.

Stock up on food and AMMO. :-)

UK is a no go....one of our UK customers here in N.E. IL said he would not move back....i asked him why and he told me outright that Muslims there have more rights than the white English citizen.

Sound familiar?

Luxembourg is a great little country, It’s the only surviving Grand Duchy in the world. With all their financial industry centers, it’s steel industry, etc. it’s quite prosperous. Most of the citizens speak English as well as French, German and the native dialect, Luxemburgesh, a form of ancient German.

The Luxembourgers, at least the older ones, still love Americans, as our troops liberated them twice in WWII from the Nazis. Travelling east from Bastogne in Belgium, it is possible to travel the road of Patton’s Army across the Ardennes mountains in No. Luxembourg. The small towns have lots of memorials & Museums to the U.S. Soldier and to Gen. George Patton who is not only a hero to them, but who is buried at the US National Cemetery in Hamm, Luxembourg.

There is a story in Luxembourg that says that to start a brawl in Luxembourg you just need to go into a bar and say bad things about Gen. Patton. They revere his memory and will not tolerate insults to his reputation.

Most of my well-traveled friends and family rank this man’s hometown, Barcelona, at or near the very top of their favorite cities in the world. A childhood friend settled there @ 40 years ago and has loved it but is now very, very worried for herself and her family.

Have they forgotten about Lepanto? The Rosary kept the Muslims from invading Europe.

It will come down sooner if the incumbent is re-elected.

True

It will come down later if Romney is elected.

True....but we are less likely to see state sanctioned thugs in Brown Shirts with "0" armbands out on the streets keeping us in line. And for those who are cognizant, it gives a little more time to prepare for the inevitable.

“The first lesson of economics is scarcity: There is never enough of anything to satisfy all those who want it.
The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics.”

The problem is... there is no where safe to run to, since the US is going down also. We are all screwed because Obama destroyed the world.

Romney's not exactly Mr Personality - but he has a better chance of saving us from the financial collapse coming than anyone else in the world... He's the right man for this time in history.
