Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant is looking to make a new name for the band in Republican politics.
The singer recently lent his star power to Florida Republican Ted Yoho, who scored a surprise upset of Rep. Cliff Stearns in a congressional primary earlier this week. Van Zant is also supporting Mitt Romneys presidential bid, and will be on hand at the Republican National Convention where the band is slated to perform alongside Trace Adkins and Kid Rock...
I did not vote for President Obama
His whole platform was change, change. Well, very little has changed I know for the people that are our fans, Van Zant said...
Van Zant, a former Democrat, says he was inspired by President Ronald Reagan.

Brad Pitt's mother is also supporting Romney. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when the family gets together on Thanksgiving ;)

You know, I don't give a sh*t what any celebrity thinks, even if they agree with me.

I hope Mr. Obama will remember, a Southern man don’t need him around, anyhow.

It is still interesting browsing the list and their reasons. Most of the reasons are thoughtful and logical as contrasted to the ObaMao worshiping celebs who merely repeat platitudes.
Cindy Crawford, however, I have to wonder about. She supported Obama in 2008 and Romney now. Maybe she is just trying to protect opportunities for gigs by a 45 year old model. Or maybe she just doesn't need the gigs anymore.

This was a fun take away line from the article:
Romney to Jon Voight
“I started talking about my five boys,” the candidate (Mitt Romney) explained. “I said, you know, it’s easier to raise boys than girls. Well, after a long pause, he (Jon Voight)says, ‘Tell me about it.’” ‘’

Have to say I’m most surprised by Jerry Bruckheimer. I’ve met him in person and thought he was a stand-up guy, but being a Democrat, I figured he was fake as plastic dog shit. Glad to see he’s coming around.

Vin Scully, Danny Ainge and George Brett !!

I always thought he’s a conservative at least in the issue of national defense and patriotism. Most of his movies are lacking anti-American propaganda.

He was an unspoken/quiet Dem, I believe. Many of his films are outright patriotic (Days of Thunder, The Rock, Con Air) and scream “red-blooded American.”

Before endorsing him, Nugent demanded that Romney pledge there would be no new gun laws or restrictions on Second Amendment rights in his administration. Romney obliged. So Romney is giving in to celebrity demands in order to get their endorsement?

Exactly. Politicians listening to constituents (especially patriotic ones like Ted Nugent) is a good thing.
