A group of black pastors in Virginia held a meeting to discuss how to encourage their congregations to vote for President Barack Obama.
Around two dozen clergy from various churches in the area met for two hours on Saturday in Chesapeake, discussing possible ideas for motivating support for Obama among their congregations. "We are concerned that many of our congregants are developing an aversion to supporting the president at the polls," read the invite email, which was sent out last month.
The major concern among the clergy was that Obama's support for same-sex marriage would prompt many African Americans to refuse to vote for Obama come November. Since President Obama announced that he had changed his position on same-sex marriage from opposition to support, many black pastors have stated their opposition to voting for Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

Well what do you expect when you have congregations that go out and part and get drunk Friday and Saturday nights then go to church to repent on Sunday? Very common in black churches. This doesn’t apply to all of them though. There are many that follow the Word. It’s just that the artiers ill probably vote for Obama.

Dilute the real meaning of the words____(fill in the blank)____.
Use "purifying" synonyms to dissolve the bitterness, the anguish, the agony, the disgust of these words, leaving an "antiseptic" version of the truth.
Use words like "Choice, Gay, Public Assistance, Fairness...." instead.
My mom just told me she won’t vote for Obama this time because of his support for gays. My jaw dropped and I thought to myself, “That’s the only reason?!” She will vote for Romney instead. I think she even liked what she heard during the RNC convention.

What the heck happened to this bunch ignoring the “I have a Dream” Speach that they preach every year on ML King Day? You know, . . .”judge a man by his character, and not by the color of his skin”. Looks to me like they are totally ignoring their boy ML King’s advice.
Those Pastors, and the rest of black America, should remember that it was the Democrats that defended and supported slavery and its expansion to the new States prior to the Civil War....it was the new Republican party that fought against slavery.
