The 2012 Democratic Party Platform Cold-Shoulders Israel
Canada Free Press ^ | September 5, 2012 | Joseph A. Klein

Despite some introductory bromides proclaiming the “unshakable commitment” of President Obama and the Democratic Party to Israel’s security, the 2012 Democratic National Platform, entitled “Moving America Forward,” mirrors perfectly President Obama’s decision to turn his back on our closest ally in the Middle East. It represents a radical break with prior Democratic Party platforms, not to mention its counterparts issued by the Republican Party, that have expressed unequivocal support for the Jewish state.

Obama has demanded publicly that Israel agree to return to the indefensible pre-1967 armistice lines with some unspecified land swaps. However, he made no comparable demand on the Palestinians to give up their “right of return” claim under which millions of “refugees” and their descendants would be permitted to populate pre-1967 Israel and destroy the Jewish character of Israel in the process.

In keeping with this totally unbalanced approach, the 2012 Democratic Party platform removes language that has appeared in previous Democratic Party platforms on the Palestinian refugee issue. The 2004 and 2008 platforms had stipulated that, as part of the peace process in creating a Palestinian state, “the issue of Palestinian refugees” should be resolved “by allowing them to settle there, rather than in Israel.” The 2012 Democratic Party platform is silent on the issue.

The 2012 Democratic Party platform is also silent about the status of Jerusalem. Again, while Obama has insisted that Israel negotiate a two state solution based on the pre-1967 armistice lines, Obama does not appear to have a problem with the Palestinian demand that, as part of the final negotiations for a Palestinian state, the holy city be divided, with East Jerusalem (where Jewish holy sites are located) becoming the Palestinian capital.

If American Jews don’t support Israel, why should the rest of us support Israel?

They have excluded GOD and Jerusalem from their official recognition. They don’t give a rat’s patooty about the ‘Jerusalem’ thing because most Jews will vote for them anyway. They are, however, vehemently sensitive by the very wisp of insinuation they are “Godless”. They duck, dissemble and obfuscate when asked (see Dick Durbin’s recent evasion).

They effed up when they thought they could get away with omitting GOD - all for the sake of religious diversity (aka known as our President’s religion - Islam).

They were secure in the perverted and disjointed inclusion of all the hatefull nutballs assembled to hack out a platform but didn’t think about the rest of America until it is too late.

It will come down on them like a Richter 10.00 tsunami come election day.

Someone pls ask Mr. Obama what the capital of Israel is.

Then ask why he is afraid to answer the question.

Do you honestly think Obama would allow anyone that would ask that question to come within 100 yards of him between now and November 6th?

“If American Jews don’t support Israel, why should the rest of us support Israel?”

A very good question and one which gets some very confusing answers.

The first is always the anti-Semite card for daring to ask the question but it is a very good question.

I’ll side with the 22% of American Jews who love this country and Israel more than Marxism. We must stand by Israel unless of course we become muslims like our president.

As to the other 78%, well the last time your people were exposed to a powerful central government, it did not work well for you and somehow you think that same type of government will work better just because it is in the USA? What the hell are you thinking?
