Gravis Marketing and Capitol Correspondent conducted a survey of 1,381 registered voters on the afternoon and evening of September 2, 2012 in the state of Ohio.
Obamas previous lead over Romney of 45.3% to 44.4% has switched to a Romney lead of 46.8% to 43.7%. Although within the previous polls margin of error, the Republican convention appears to have given Romney a 2 point bump while taking 1 point from Obama. Switching to the Senate race, before the Republican convention, Democrat Sherrod Brown held a nar- row 43.6% to 41.4% lead over Republican Josh Mandel. Again, although within the margin of error, the post- convention poll gives Republican Mandel the advantage at 44.3% to 43.5%, representing a 3 point bump for Mandel, while Browns take staying basically constant.

Imagine the fun we could have had if Clint had used an empty suit on a hanger.
I still prefer "empty suit."
Gee and to think all the stories about the Gallup poll that shows Romney gave the lowest rated speech since Gallup started taking the poll back in 1996. I guess some people liked it.
“Empty suit” is understandable. Personally, I’d just go with the flow and the current meme. But if you’re ambitious enough, the “empty suit” idea can be just a popular. :)
LOL. Empty chair. When I think of Obama and the empty chair I vision a toilet with the seat up. The bowl is a perfect O and what goes in it is nothing but Obama.
He’s an empty throne. A toilet waiting for a deposit.
The Sleeping Giant isnt buying his lying any more.

Whew. Huge. This is really about a 5-point lead in real voters.
Two-thirds of those who watched Thursday night’s speeches at the Republican National Convention already had decided who they would vote for before anyone opened their mouth, but among the small but important group of persuadable speech watchers, there is 2:1 movement towards Romney, according to a SurveyUSA poll of the state of Florida conducted for WFLA-TV in Tampa.
1,211 adults were interviewed statewide 08/31/12, after Romney, Florida’s Marco Rubio and Clint Eastwood spoke to the convention 08/30/12. Of the adults, 1,100 were registered to vote in Florida. Of the registered voters, 754 heard the convention speeches. Of the convention speech watchers:
* 66% did not change their mind.
* 16% switched from “undecided” to Romney.
* 6% switched from Obama to Romney.
* Adding those 2 together, that’s 22% who switched TO Romney.
* 10% switched from “undecided” to Obama.
* 2% switched from Romney to Obama.
* Adding those 2 together, that’s 12% who switched TO Obama.
* Comparing the 2 aggregate numbers: 22% switched TO Romney, 12% switched TO Obama.
That fits the postulate that undecideds break for the challenger two to one. :)
