My colleague Greg Sargent had a revealing interview with Obama political adviser David Plouffe. Plouffe asserted that President Obama is two to three points ahead in swing states and that, unlike past years, those undecided voters won’t break overwhelmingly for the challenger. The Obama team also thinks the Romney-Ryan welfare ad attack is no big deal. Obama’s approval and ballot numbers are under 50 percent with 100 percent name recognition? Not problematic. Sargent couches the sentiment as “cautiously optimistic,” although the underlying pronouncements are brash, to put it mildly.

“...What say you?...”
I’d say the Qualudes that Plouffe was taking just kicked in...
[ asserted that President Obama is two to three points ahead in swing states]
Rasmussen has Romney up 2 in his 11 state swing state poll. There are traditionally blue states included in his poll. Not good for Obama AT ALL.
Well, unless you consider that in a sane country, Obama would be down more than 20.

No question.....they must be spooked....no pun intended.
They are most like spinning their doners and contributors. When your campaign is sputtering you have to mouth a lot of BS to keep any money coming in.
EVERYone has a favorite and EVERYone has already determined whom they will vote for.
The zero's are moving to Hawaii in January .. they don't give a shit about ANY of this.
No one should believe anything either side says about the probability of success. It is all spin. I remember with great clarity the optimism expressed by George McGovern about the Carter candidacy just days before he was wiped out by Reagan.
Check out the trailer. Soon to be televised per Hannity last week when he had Pat Caddell on with the two producers of this documentary.
Closer to today, there’s Nancy Pelosi’s ironclad guarantee that she’ll be Speaker..in 2008, 2010, and we’re just about due for it again..
Been reading Rubin of late, and watching her on the cable nets..she seems to be growing a pair...
I’ve posted this before, but it bears repeating:
The morning after that election, my husband woke me up with the news that Reagan had won. I couldn’t believe it! We were Democrats, then, and I remember saying “This is the counterrevolution!”
Reagan changed my mind.
May it happen again!
Land is cheaper in Indonesia, though.
Both and like the good little Progressive Fascist bots they are, the “journalists” want to be spun.
I will say this, the RATs and the MSM all seem very confident about the outcome in November.
Maybe they are just great bluffers, or maybe the patterns that have always existed in the past really won’t come in to play this time.
I know one thing. I sure would like to see some significant movement towards Romney soon.
Having to wait until a couple of weeks before the election for his support to firm up is cutting it way too close — at least too close for my blood pressure.
