Where are pro-life women?
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 9/5/12 | Debra J. Saunders

Charlotte, N.C. -- The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right." So reads the 2012 Democratic National Committee platform.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi likes to attack the "the extremism of the Republicans." But in that plank, the Democrats have shown themselves to be out of touch with not only the American people - 72 percent of whom oppose public funding to pay for abortions, according to a Quinnipiac poll - but also with Democratic voters themselves.

A 2011 Gallup poll found that a minority of Democrats - 38 percent - believe that abortion should be legal under any and all circumstances. That puts the majority of Democrats on the wrong side of what the administration likes to call "the war on women."

Kristen Day, executive director of Democrats for Life, doesn't get why her party continues to marginalize her point of view. "This is what the Democratic Party historically has fought for - the vulnerable, the needy and the unborn," she told me.

Politically, it doesn't make sense. The party needs antiabortion Democrats to leverage a majority of the House.

A member of a group of House Democratic women who took the stage at the Time Warner Cable Arena here, Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York, faulted Republicans for excluding Georgetown Law School student and activist Sandra Fluke during a House hearing on birth control. A second panel included women, but why let that get in the way of a good talking point?

"Where are the women?" Maloney demanded.

We'll kill your unborn children and make you pay for it.

If you've earned it, we'll take it from you and give it to others as we see fit.

We'll decide what marriage is; cultural norms and history be damned.

We are Democrats and we care. So, sit down, shut-up and do as you're told.

Some time back a liberal elite Harvard professor said women should be able to kill their children up until they're a few months old... cull the losers... When does that become part of the platform?

Your top graphic couldn't be more wrong. Obama and his ilk want women in the factories, in the shopping malls and in the abortion mills - anywhere but the kitchen, or at home at all, raising a family. Much easier for the Marxist state to do the child-raising that way.

Your bottom graphic is misleading. Most women wouldn't mind being in the kitchen for a man, as long as it's the right man.

Where are we? We’re out living life and nurturing the lives we brough into the world: driving around a van full of kids to various activites, or in grocery stores filling our carts to the top to feed these large families. We are at work, holding down a 9 to 5 job and then seen headed home to take care of those kids all night long, until we collapse into bed at 11 or beyond.

We’re ALL out there — we’re just too damned busy actually RAISING the children we didn’t kill to put up much of a fuss or be heard enough. And, I feel, in general, we are a very fulfilled group — so we’re not always out being nasty and in everyone’s face, all shrill and screaming. We’re exhausted, but happy. Later in life, we are satisfied with a job well done, and comforted, surrounded by our family members, hopefully, scads of grandchildren.

Pro-choice women — i guess they’ve got all the time in the world.

These imbeciles used to live by poll results, now they don’t even pretend to care about what the people think.

What percentage of those polled do you think would support the Democratic National Committee platform removing all references to The Creator? (please don’t use the ‘G’ word, you know how offensive that is...)

These people are so delusional that they themselves,” if we kill more unborn babies, and we deny God, we will surely get all women to vote for our Party!”

You don't get it, Kristen? Are you really that stupid?

where are the pro-life democrat wimmin ???

if theyre indeed the 2/3 majority and yet they are consistently silenced by the PTB in the DNC [scraping pun included], it would seem that they have been 'holding their noses' and going with the flow, and capitulating to the shrill voices that demand their compromise of principle ???

this season is really gettin hilarious...

They have made themselves the pro-abortion / homosexual marriage / anti God party.

They have basically gone to the mattresses on this. If they win, we are in serious doo doo. The reason? It’s the electorate, stupid.

RE :”where are the pro-life democrat wimmin ???

sure, They are against abortion EXCEPT for cases of rape, incest, mothers’ health or if the woman didnt want to get pregnant in the first place and wants it to just 'go away', err I mean mental stress. You object?? Then you MUST HATE wimmmin. .

And they probably all want the gubment to force employers to dish out free birth control to 'reduce abortions'.

Dont expect them to back Republicans on anything.
