“The fact is that suddenly we find ourselves having to choose between obeying God and man made laws,” they write. “We have chosen to obey God. We are willing to give up our rights, go to jail, or even die, for the cause of helping anyone become free from a sinful life and helping that person to live in obedience to God’s Word.”

I am shamed and humbled; more Christians need to think this thought in their innermost being, myself included.

She should have gone to Russia where the Menonites have historic ties. You can bet your bottom dollar that Putin would protect them. Now doesn't that say alot about how we have “changed”.

People willing to stand by their principles and what they believe to be right.

God bless’em. So many choose the easy way out.

Once upon a time in America, the government would not have dared to push that decision in front of anyone. Sad for America; proud for the Mennonites.

The heterophobes are full of the hatred they project onto others.

This isn't about what's best for the child.

It's about heterophobes running everbody else' lives.

Hopefully they will be able to go to yet another country where only a tiny number know they are there, so the thrashing of governments will achieve nothing. No matter the coercion, information cannot be squeezed out of someone who does not know it.

Once she has gone to parts unknown, then the Mennonites can seriously muddy the water by passing around a map, each of them picking some country at random, and if asked or coerced, give the name of that country as where they have fled.

One will say Russia, another New Zealand, another Uruguay, another Libya, etc. This will so foul the search that it will become useless to continue.

This story just makes one sick to your stomach. A flaming hate-filled lesbian Janet Jenkins, sexually abuses Lisa Miller's daughter on court ordered visits, Lisa then refuses to abide by the court ordered visits because of the sexual abuse & trauma. Then arrogant SOB judge in an angry snit now decrees that Lisa has to give up here own biological daughter to hate-filled former partner Janet Jenkins. And now a pastor will go to prison for up to 3 years. This is disgusting, sick & perverse. I am a born again Christian, but I must admit that I simply cannot fathom how God can allow this atrocity to continue. Lisa Miller, her daughter Isabella, the Mennonite pastor, & Brethren have lost every single court battle.

What is God doing here? Evil is being rewarded beyond comprehension, and these innocent Christian people especially a 10 yr old girl, are persecuted & losing every court battle. I don't understand how God can allow these abominations to continue. Even so, come Lord Jesus and destroy these perverse abominable reprobates -- Janet Jenkins, her lawyers, the RAT bastard Vermont judge, and those in the Justice dept pursuing this with a vengence. Unbelieveable. If God was willing to save Sodom & Gomorrah for only 10 righteous souls, he certainly ought to save Lisa Miller & her daughter & those who have given their lives & freedoms to protect Lisa & her daughter.

Please God... do something to punish those who are perpetuating this evil.

Whatever happened to that oft lefty used phrase of sixties (paraphrase) “If you love someone, then let them go”. Janet Jenkins is just another self centered pervert trying to exercise some power over others IMO.

Janet Jenkins must not be allowed to win this. She nor the Leftist Judge. No victory for evil.

Does anyone remember the name of the Sri Lankan girl who converted from Islam and went underground to avoid being sent back?

It was a long legal struggle, some of the people who helped her were prosecuted if I recall. In the end she won, but it was a long haul.

This is a very sad case, and unfortunately Lisa Miller undermined everything she fought for when she accepted child support from Janet Jenkins.

If you accept the idea that your partner has a parental responsibility, you accept that your partner has potential parental rights. It would have been easy as pie to argue that because Janet had never legally adopted the baby even after Lisa asked her to, she had voided her parental rights and responsibilities, but accepting the child support money completely undid that argument and is enough to convince me that Lisa Miller is being at least a little bit selfish and unreliable. Actions have consequences and unfortunately they’re all hitting a little girl harder than the women who knowingly dragged her into this mess.

I've often wondered what became of this mother and daughter. I hope they can remain in safety until the daughter reaches the age of majority and is safe from the nest of vipers of the lesbian former partner and the "justice" system. Also noteworthy are the U.S. Mennonite pastor Kenneth Miller and the Mennonites in Nicaragua for standing up and taking risks for the sake of the mother and daughter.

I’m a former Mennonite.

These are the true Mennonites who have, and still are, willing to die for their beliefs. Hundreds of thousands have gone before them.

I no longer consider myself a Mennonite for primarily two reasons; most of the church has gone ‘rainbow’ and the non-resistance is now contrary to my belief.

WHen these Mennonites say they will die first, they have hundreds of years of history to fall back on. They WILL die first.

She’s as safe as she can be made safe.
