Senator Dianne Feinstein says she'll reintroduce assault weapon legislation

Dianne Feinstein announced Wednesday that she’s re-entering the battle over gun control during her keynote speech to the California delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

Feinstein was president of the San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors on what she calls that city’s “day of infamy” in 1978, when a former colleague shot and killed Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone. Since then, Senator Feinstein has been one of the most vocal proponents of gun control on Capitol Hill.

She promised California delegates she’d return to Congress to reintroduce “an updated assault weapons bill.”

At the delegates' breakfast, she said that, "Weapons of war do not belong on our streets, in our classrooms, in our schools or in our movie theatres."

Feinstein co-sponsored an assault weapons ban signed into law in 1994, which expired 10 years later.

SURE they do. And if more of them were around, lunatics like the guy in Auburn would have been blasted away long before he accomplished what he set out to do.

No. Idiots like Diane Frankenfeinstein don’t belong in Congress. Only a cesspool of homosexual perverts like San Fagcisco could possibly elect her and her monstrous cohort - Nancy Pelosi - the Bride of Frankenfurter.

“If you think Romney supports this you need your head examined.”

What do you mean??? He (Romney) ALREADY has supported similar legislation ... and signed it into law in Mass. Where am I wrong on pointing this out?

Watch what he does (or has done), not what he says.

Who ever wins in Nov., Gun Owners in this country are screwed.

A Republican Congress....the House and hopefully the Senate....will never send a gun ban bill to Romney. Won’t happen.

If, however, the rats somehow manage to regain control of Congress (God forbid) while Romney is president, then I would worry.

No, we’re not screwed. We may someday have to revolt to retain a few of our rights, but that’s been done before, too. I’ll have my weapons as long as I need them.If I happen to lose my life battling to keep them, then I won’t need ‘em any more.

Get back to me when you have proof that Romney illegally sold weapons to Mexican drug cartels in order to further his anti-second amendment policy.

When you get down to it, it's a shitty choice, but it isn't hard to make.

The House of Reps can't get proof that Obama illegally sold weapons to Mexican drug cartels in order to further his anti-second amendment policy.

I do, however, have proof that Romney voted to ban 'assault' weapons.

I despise all liberals that are anti-2nd amendment. I'm equal opportunity that way.

In 2004, Romney signed a permanent assault weapons ban into law, while he was governor.

And Obama would ban ALL weapons. So, go ahead, spin the barrel with Obama.

Nope. I don't want any poison, whether a lot or a little less.

Your anger aside, Romney did sign a permanent 'assault' weapon ban. He owns that. I'm not wrong for pointing it out.
