A nine-year-old Cub Scout has quit over the Boy Scouts of America’s policy which does not allow any gay member, volunteer or staff member.
Christopher Tiner, of Minot, Maine, had seen in the news that many Eagle Scouts had returned their badges in protest against the exclusion of gay members, volunteers and staff by the Boy Scouts of America.
Scott Tiner, Christopher’s father, said that the Cub Scout made the decision entirely on his own. Christopher reflected on his position:
“I didn’t like it that they were kicking people out,” he said. “I don’t think it’s fair.”
Christopher, formerly of pack 139, is reported to be the first scout in Maine to have quit over the controversy, and said that the decision was easy once he thought about it.
Scott, former Scout Leader also commented, saying:
“I don’t want to have a membership card to an organization that makes it very clear that this is how they feel.”

Why do I get the sneaky suspicion that he joined, JUST so he quit because of the “unfairness of the anti-gay rule”.

Agreed. My little boys (10, 8, 6, 3) don’t know a thing about homosexuality.

This little attention whore can drop out of scouts if he disagrees, that’s fine. There are other scout groups he can join, and be exposed to homosexuals who want to “help” him. Like the lesbian coaches “help” their girls.
If a few more gys quit they’ll have enough to start a patrol of Rump Rangers

Yep. That’s true. I have still seen men that do this sort of thing described as heterosexuals, if they have led anything near a normal heterosexual relationship prior to the infraction. I don’t explain em, I just report em.
Does a 9 year old really know why they kick sodomites out of the scouts? I’ll bet if it were explained to him, he’d have a different opinion....
