The stupidity of the Rats has no bounds. At least Bachmann put Lexington and Concord in the correct war.

The ditz needs to get over it. To quote the great Redd Foxx, “The only cotton you ever picked was out of an aspirin bottle”.

So Colbert, bastion of Democrat group-think, laughs at the idea this might be true, instead of being repulsed by the possibility as I a Conservative am.

I sure hope Rep. Yvette Clarke realizes how he dismissed her concerns on such a grave important issue as this.

I don’t know the first thing about Clarke, but I can assure her that she and I share the same view on this topic.

Someone should warn her of the danger of Brooklyn tipping over...like Guam.

When I saw the headline, I thought I would be reading about a historian or at least a social researcher uncovering evidence of a covert ring like there is among some Asian and Middle Eastern gangs.

Agitation against Southern slavery was stronger in Brooklyn than in New York, and under Republican leadership the city was fervent in the Union cause in the Civil War. A great victory arch at Grand Army Plaza was built after the war, and a smaller monument was built downtown to Abolitionist leader Henry Ward Beecher, pastor at Brooklyn’s Plymouth Church.

Do you suppose the Dutch ever tipped over Guam?

Give the Dutch a break. Due to language barriers they probably didn't hear about the Civil War or Emancipation Proclamation until the early 1900’s.

So kind of like the Japanese soldiers holding out until the 1970’s on remote Philippians islands; the Dutch may have been holding slaves.

The joy of gerrymandered districts by race. We get ignorant and historically illiterate unRepresentatives in rotten boroughs full of non-citizens.
The Dutch lost control of NY in July 1673. Slavery in NY State was slowly phased out in from the 1780s onwards, with slavery by birth ending in 1799. NY became a free state on July 4, 1827. I doubt anyone born a slave in NY was alive in 1898.
No wonder she voted for a healthcare bill no one read. Clarke hasn’t read anything.

Dem Dutchies are blue eyed devils. African American studies are a hoot if you’re a racist kook.

This Clown, Rep. Yvette Clarke wouldn't happen to be a surviving former slave, would she?
That would make her 145 years old.
Let's cut her some slack.

Big deal. In 2000 it was discovered that the pastor of the First Unitarian-Universalist Church of Westboro, MA, was keeping a Asian sex slave locked in his basement.
