All Freepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join me this Sunday morning in a special Space Coast freep of President Barack Hussein Obama II.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. at the Florida Institute of Technology venue, so I'll be setting up about 7 a.m. as folks will be arriving early to get in line.
When: 7 a.m. until after the event (freep 'em coming and going!) Sunday, September 9, 2012.
Where: Northwest corner of Babcock St. and University Blvd. Melbourne, Florida.
Bring: American and Gadsden flags, signs, water and sunscreen. (7-11 nearby for coffee, snacks.)
Parking: You're on your own.
As always the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

That is pretty close to where we’ll be. The main intersection at FIT is at the gateway to crack-town. Best not to go East of Babcock (which runs north-south), especially onto University.
Today will start nice and dry with a lot of sunshine. Highs in the lower 90s. By this afternoon showers and storms will develop along west coast sea breeze and move inland. Rain will end along the east coast late this evening. Sunday, a low in the Gulf will get picked up along an approaching cold front. As the front moves in our chance of rain will jump to 60%. My plan is to be at the northwest corner of Babcock St. and University Blvd. at 7 a.m.
I checked out the area an hour ago. FIT has blocked off the parking lot behind the northwest corner.
I spoke to the cashier at the Mobil gas station. He said the station will be open to foot traffic Sunday morning for food/beverage sales and his restrooms will be open to customers.
On the other side of Babcock, the large parking lot for the new FIT building was open. It looks to me that will be the event parking lot. Hopefully our folks can park there also.
The church next door to that lot has already barricaded its parking lot, so that’s out.
There is no parking allowed on the service road that runs parallel to East University Blvd.
That’s all I know at this time.
