The vast majority of guns that end up in police hands are not guns that have been used in crime. The majority are turned over voluntarily, with another large contingent that are confiscated illegally.

“Legally speaking a law-abiding citizen can only shoot someone who poses an imminent, credible threat of death or grievous bodily harm. And the armed self-defender can only shoot to stop the threat. Not kill.”
Uh...the writer apparently hasn’t been down here in Texas. We can use deadly force to protect property and we aim for center mass (except those special ops types, who make sure by double-tapping).

On any given day, the room holds 7,000 to 10,000 guns...The volume is shocking. In a room with this many guns dull, ugly man-made objects that exist only to extinguish life..." So...how do the cops go in the room without dying?

I'm surprised the author doesn't claim that they come to
life at night and dance around the room celebrating all the
death and misery they cause.

Guns pose a threat to the fine people in the City of Brotherly Loath. To help alleviate this risk to safety, I will accept all those guns shipped if to me post paid.

Everyone knows that if you’re a Freeper you’ll probably just
lose them in a boating accident anyway.

I imagine every decent gun that gets thrown into that room eventually “disappears” into some cop’s collection.

Guns pose a threat to the fine people in the City of Brotherly Loath. To help alleviate this risk to safety, I will accept all those guns shipped if to me post paid. Most of those guns in the photo are cheap, not maintained well, and may be worth only the price of scrap steel. There's not a single "elite" AK47, M16, or high-tech "sniper rifle" in sight. One reason is that, even stolen, the "good stuff" demands premium prices. Second, the very best are skimmed off by the top cops, and their politician buddies.
The Detroit Police gun room looks like that, but they have a "pet AK47" than an officer proudly displays, so the camera doesn't spend too much time on all the rusty crap that makes up 99% of their "inventory".
"Crime guns" should be in a separate evidence vault, along with anything else involved in ongoing or completed cases. But the evidence vault appears to be haunted, because cash turns into counterfeit, drugs into flour, and weapons just vanish into thin air.

Yeah, when gun-haters tell me that guns are only for killing, I tell them I must be using them wrong since I’ve never killed (or even wounded) anything with any of my firearms. I have sent many paper and clay targets to their eternal rewards.

I know, which is why they pay the postage. However, FloriDUH Libtards hold gun buy backs.
