Ad Exposing Obama’s Infanticide Support to Run During His Speech

A powerful television advertisement exposing President Barack Obama’s essential support for infanticide will run during his acceptance speech tonight at the Democratic National Convention.

The Susan B. Anthony List announced that its television ad highlighting President Obama’s extreme record on abortion, featuring abortion survivor Melissa Ohden, will air tonight in the Charlotte, North Carolina media market during the timeframe of President Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. The ad will run on all major networks, costing $42,000.

“President Obama and the Democratic Party platform represent a position on abortion so extreme, voters should question the President’s honesty in committing to finding ‘common ground’ in the last general election,” said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

She told LifeNews: “Opposing the sex selection and post-fetal pain abortion bans voted on in the House of Representatives are minority stances among women and all Americans. Voting four times against measures that would provide equal protection to children accidentally born alive after a failed abortion is a clear minority stance. Requiring Americans to pay for abortion through their taxes is a minority view as well. Where is that ground he is standing? It is uncommon, callous, lonely ground.”

Dannenfelser continued: “So committed to every abortion, this President is committed even to the failed ones. Melissa’s story is the human face of the legislation he rejected four times. He would allow only the abortionist, the one who guaranteed a dead baby, to provide intensive care to the most vulnerable babies imaginable. Why? He explained it would threaten abortion rights generally. This is uncommon heartlessness.”

The pro-life women’s leader noted that polling from the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that 77 percent of Americans (80 percent of women) support banning sex-selective abortion. Additionally, recent national polling from NRLC shows that 63 percent of Americans (70 percent of women) support a ban on late-term abortion past the point at which unborn children feel pain.

Last week the ad ran across Missouri as part of a $150,000 television ad campaign to expose President Obama’s record on abortion in a state that had recently been at the center of the conversation on abortion.

The ad featuring Melissa Ohden is the first in a series exposing President Obama’s extremist record on abortion. The SBA List has additional ads being considered for release in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

“I was aborted, and my body discarded…like I didn’t exist,” Ohden says in the ad. “But a nurse heard me crying…and cared enough to save my life.”

“There’s something else you may not know…when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times,” Ohden continues. “I know that it is by the grace of God I am alive today…if only to ask America this question: Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward? Leadership that would discard the least and the weakest among us?”

Ohden talked with LifeNews about the new commercial:

“I’m pleased to join with the SBA List in the “How Will You Answer” commercial. I have never personally felt so strongly about an election as I do about this one. We have a great opportunity to make a big difference in our nation and in the lives of the unborn this November. The question isn’t about Obama’s voting history, we know that. The question is about how each of us will answer the call to make a difference with our votes.”

The 1 drawback of being in Texas is the fact that they don’t air these hard hitting ads because it’s such a red state.

Now it's not just Obama but the entire Democrat party since the latest platform change at this convention. I wonder how ANY person who claims to be a Christian can possibly justify voting for him?

The RNC, Romney, and others on the right are now free to run all the ads that should have run during the last Presidential election, except that McCain wanted Obama to win.
