The Sound and the Fury

The days of meaningful floor fights at the nominating conventions where delegations actually selected presidential nominees is long past. Modern conventions are merely lengthy infomercials. Nevertheless, despite my cynicism and low expectations, the 2012 Democratic National Convention has proven to be an absolute train wreck. At times, the official proceedings have bordered upon surrealism (for example, Governor Granholm). I fully expected Jerry Springer to appear and announce that he was acting as the presiding officer of the convention. Who else could better moderate a convention where our ally Israel was maligned and God Almighty was openly mocked?

Citing the weather, Obama’s valedictory convention speech was moved to an indoor arena with a smaller seating capacity. There was no Temple of Zeus stage to replicate Obama’s choreographed acceptance speech in Denver. Attempts to fill an outdoor stadium failed when thousands of North Carolinians declined to get on buses to cheer for Obama. Others were locked out of the hall. The Democratic organizers claimed that an imminent storm necessitated the change of venue. Of course, another plausible explanation may have been a justifiable fear of lightning bolts being loosed upon the delegates by an irate Jehovah.

As for Obama’s own oratory, I was completely underwhelmed. Sam Donaldson compared the President’s speech to a desperate poker player trying to bluff a winning hand and rake in a sizeable pot with a pair of deuces. At times, Obama seemed almost defeatist.

Four more years? Seriously?

This is what you get when you elect a president based on affirmative action, white-guilt, black racism, American Jewish oblivion and rabid liberal dogma.

Eventually, the ‘rubber’ has to meet the road. In this case, Obama’s substance is as diaphonous as the wind.

America could shipwreck itself on the rock of ‘radical populism’.

It’s scary!

Either one vast, unforced error, or such a series of fumbles and take-backs and eye-glazing assertions, it amounts to the same thing.

The Democrats would have been better served to have shown up at the NASCAR track on Labor Day and concluded their entire business meeting there.

When Obama had to be reaching back to Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter for “help”, it was clear he was drowning. Those two were just holding him under water a little longer.

From what I gather last night Obama promised years of poverty and hardship and the glimmer of a Utopia someday...

sounds familiar.

OBAMA = One Big A__ Mistake

More appropriate now than ever. Do we dare hope that the blush is off of his rose and that he has finally been exposed?

I don’t think so. The left cling to him and his empty promises because the right, like Churchill (one of the great leaders of WWII for you youts), has noting to offer but “blood, toil, tears and sweat”.

This means work and an end to their life of wallowing in mediocre leisure. They don’t want to work.

My greatest fear is that they out number us or equal us in number. The swing are the few remaining in their number that are on the edge and want dignity instead of being maintained in slavery.

Being kept, having no meaningful contribution to yourself or anyone else is the cruelest form of slavery of all. They are living at the lowest level of Maslow’s Heirarchy of needs aren’t they? They have just gotten used to it or have they developed some strange and acceptable, in their warped culture, alternative means for self-actualization? Isn’t that what a gang is? A warped means of self-actulization?

How pitiful. What wretched lives. True sub-human debris.
