Interesting that Obama hasn't released his fundraising totals for the month of August. Must be a disaster.

Because they suck!
He looked like he had just been given a ton of bad news right before his speech last night
Are they required to disclose this info? Now, I am curious.
The campaign hasnt had time to fudge the numbers yet
I think they have ten days to report to the FEC after the end of each month. Romney probably released his ASAP because they were good numbers. Obama will probably wait for the last day...
“He looked like he had just been given a ton of bad news right before his speech last night”
The jobs report?
The money is probably more telling than the polls.
“”The campaign hasnt had time to fudge the numbers yet””
I’ll buy your explanation but maybe not for the same reason you may think that!!!
I don’t for a minute believe they are hard up for campaign donations. The same people who put him where he is today with their money are still around and still want to see the destruction of the country as much as he does. If anything - they need to HIDE their numbers!
Negative amount???
Just a little contrarian opinion here. I would not be surprised if the whole “Romney is out-raising and out-spending us is false.” Why? Because it fits their narrative. Romney is only in it for the rich and Obama is the man of the people, the poor folks who just can’t find the money to donate because Romney stole it all.
Just a thought.
“Was he dumped by Reggie Love, too?”
Or perhaps Reggie said, “look, this is how it’s going to be from now on, or I go public -— now you get on your knees.”
I think he is waiting for the friday bad news dump
Actually most of the Wall $t money that went to Baraq in 08 is going to Romney this year.

Obama does not disclose
I do think they sense that Romney is not another McLame.
Their strategy has always been to milk the low dollar donors with multiple appeals through September and to romance the big dollar donors after the convention. The low dollar donors won’t be able to do enough from now until November to make a difference other than “campaign debt retirement” and the big money (outside of Hollywood and the media) has gone to Romney. The truth is that reasonable people won’t give to candidates that hate them, which is why those CEO’s made a big deal out of deciding to “sit out” because they don’t want to piss off the regime by supporting the Republican, in case Obama wins.
Truth is, most of the big money is funneled to the unregulated superpacs who will do the lions-share of the ads from here on out.
McCain's problem was that he was more interested in being liked than actually winning. He let the media and the Obama campaign dictate the terms of the debate, and as he, a miltary man, should have know when you let the enemy choose the the time and place of the battle, you've probably already lost. Romney is much more ruthless, he will use every dirty trick in the book to win, even if it means he will be hated in the process. (Just ask Santorum, Gingrich, Bachmann, Cain. etc)
