Obama’s getting a pass because yesterday did you see or hear ONE speech or comment from Romney or Ryan slamming the jobs report? The media would HAVE to cover that. So did they go on the attack about it?

I guess you missed this as well as several other stories.

In Nevada, Paul Ryan says Obama is good at giving speeches, bad at creating jobs

Washington Post Friday, September 7, 2:13 PM Felicia Sonmez

SPARKS, Nev. — Seizing on a new jobs report that showed the pace of the country’s economic recovery remains sluggish at best, Paul Ryan on Friday argued that the best way to turn around America’s fortunes is to put a new president in the White House.

Flanked by six red, white and blue truck cabs and with a rugged mountain backdrop behind him, Ryan told a crowd of several hundred people at a trucking equipment company just outside of Reno that the jobs report was “some pretty disappointing news.” Why are you so quick to tell LIES to attack out side? What the hell is wrong with you?

Yes, and as of last July, the unemployment rate in Duval County was 9.5%. Obama’s not going to make up any ground there from 2008.

Ideally, you’d want to run ads in every market, encouraging your base to come out. But there’s only a fixed amount of money to spend. So in areas you’re going to win (like North Florida), you do a lot of grassroots campaigning - you get the county GOP organizations involved to register more Republicans and get them out to vote.

I would not look at 2008 figures because :

1. Crist let open the flood gates for voter fraud with non stop early voting and we know why he did that now !
2. FL cleaned up all of its voting rolls
3, the new voter id laws are in effect now.

Good bye massive Acorn voter fraud in Fl in 2012.

The debates are about specific plans. Unless he blows the debates, this is Mitt’s to lose.

“If Communism is what people want, I dont know what more to say.”

A lot of people want to retain and guarantee their government perks. They will vote self interest regardless of the impact on the economy. The best way to get this huge segment of our society to vote is the scare them, convince them that “those other guys want to take away what I’ve given you.” Also they have been convinced that profits are evil. They will vote to regulate and confiscate business profits. Free money rules. Even though their beliefs reflect their Marxism, they do not care.

Registered voters, jobs report not factored in, full week of media orgasms over Obama - not surprising.

The other pollsters obviously don’t want to be sued by Axelrod so they are falling in line. However, Mitt better take the gloves off and get on with it. He has so much to use. Why doesn’t he talk about the scandals surrounding BO? There’s a huge list he could use. He’d better start.

I’m sorry, but large percentages of Jews have been associating themselves with the left for many generations now - both here in the States, in Europe and elsewhere. Not 100% sure of all the reasons for this phenomenon, but they seem to fear the majority religion wherever they live and work to support secular governments and laws to restrain religion. Jews are very active in the ACLU, People for the American Way, etc. Unless Obama nukes Israel or something blatant like that, he is going to get 75% of the Jewish vote. While I very much support Israel, pursuing the Jewish demographic is a waste of the Republicans time. They aren’t going to win it no matter what they do because they can’t “out-secular” the Democratic Party.

Every election is always close (via polls) until the last month. Been that way for years even when we look back and see that the results, except 2000, were always one way or the other, easily predicted by just looking at the overall mood of people around you.

Someone please respond: I have heard many times that if the incumbent isn’t at 50%, he’ll never win. 50% of what? Favorability? 50% job approval? 50% Obama vs. 48% Romney of whatever? What is that 50% rule of thumb?

Regarding the “carpet bombing”.. have you seen the ads Romney is running in the swing states? They are generic milquetoast. It is carpet bombing with marshmallows.

Specific programs, ok, but if the Romney people do not step up and get more aggressive with their messaging they are missing a huge opportunity.
