As a person who has known several close relatives/friends who died of and survived cancer, I can say the effects are positive. Marijuana helps with the chemo sickness and weight loss. For those with terminal cancer, then addiction will not be a problem is it? They’re dying and only the most obtuse uncaring person would deny them whatever relief they can get. Marijuana does not have the side effects of powerful pain relievers where you don’t know what day it is or whom your family are. The positives outweigh the negatives.
Maryjane isn’t addictive. I quit smoking the stuff thirty years ago and never missed it.

When my Mom had pancreatic cancer (that she did die from), if I had known how to get marijuana for her.. I would have. Her doctors gave her plenty of pain medicine but the chemo made her so sick. She literally had three saltines a day or two gingersnap cookies. If pot could have reduced her vomiting and increased her appetite then it would have helped her. I could literally see her wasting away. I would check on her in the morning and swear she was thinner by the same evening. No prescription drugs would help.
It numbs the pain sensors in the brain and gives you the munchies. A six pack of beer or two martinis will have the same effect..plus they'll make ugly people look beautiful.......and no, I'm not kidding.
I find it ironic that there is so much support to legalize marijuana while at the same time they are trying to ban cigarettes. It's a given fact that the lungs of a chronic marijuana smoker are damaged much, much more and sooner than one who smokes cigarettes. That's due to the way marijuana is inhaled into the lungs and the fact that the joints are filterless........
Personally, I couldn't care less if pot is legalized or not.
