Is the following all true? I don't know, but it will be an interesting study...and a difficult one in efforts to find clear, objective and honestly written documents.

Mormons and the State of Israel (Wikipedia)
The LDS Church is officially neutral when it comes to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Mormons, as well as many Jews, are also in favor of peaceful coexistence between Jewish and non-Jewish (Muslim and/or Christian) Arabs in the Holy Land. The LDS Church considers non-Jewish Arabs to be children of Abraham. The LDS Church does not take sides in the Arab-Palestinian conflict, and BYU's Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic majors are known for avid pro-Palestinian activism.[citation needed]

More direct link to the excerpted part. And no, I am certainly not anti-Mormonism. This is the USA (re. First Amendment and religious freedom). Only curious about the religion’s position on the matter.

The LDS is officially a lot of things that scads of Mormons don’t actually follow along with.

Mitt, he’s anybody’s huckleberry if that gets him a political boost. Mitt is silly putty, not backbone. It probably will come to pass that the dogmatic Marxist will lose to the silly putty, but everybody needs to be ready to deal with the silly putty.
