When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over
Whiskey & Gunpowder ^ | Aug 1st, 2012 | Jim Karger

“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

"Have they considered that they have to find them first? Might be a bit more difficult than locating that next donut."

Just the fact they know who bought them, what you bought, and where you live from public records will lead them to most of the weapons. That has always been my concern with this issue.

At least we can have guns.

Unless he's moved back from Mexico he can't even own a gun.

In 2001, he left Dallas, and moved to San Miguel de Allende in the high desert of central Mexico where he sought and found a freer and simpler life for he and his wife, Kelly, and their 10 dogs.

Him and his dogs don't stand a chance if they come for him.
Or maybe he figures shooting the dogs first will give him more time to run away.

Correct. There are many, many Americans who understand these words and are well-armed, in part because of these words:

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward."

I’ve noticed over the years that when these “people” talk about gun confiscation they are really only talking about confiscating from law-abiding-citizens never from the thugs and inner city “war zones”.

After all why go after the tough targets when there are easier ones nearby? That is until the Easier ones prove not to be so easy after all.

I had a French teacher in junior high with one of those serial numbers tattooed on the inside of her arm.

“Why didn’t they fight; why didn’t they fight!”

Whenever I hear that question, I just remember the frog in the pot of boiling water.

And then I recall all the Anerican freedoms that have been lost during my lifetime.

That’s why they didn’t fight.

The author assumes that all the gun owners will just lay down and roll over - They outnumber those who would take our guns by what...2-3 million to 1? I haven’t done the calculations but it would be lopsided if the People decided to say “Enough!”. Just as the Founders wanted.

Your average military base doesn’t have the manpower to cover its priority resources and the dependant housing development. So the dependants would be quite vulnerable if the crap ever did hit the fan.

Espechially today with the Communist in the white house calling for massive cuts in our military force structure.

Fortunately, we won’t need as many attorneys after the totalitarian takeover of America.

I’ve always said that if a civil war starts, the first thing I’ll do is get me a telephone book and look up all of the attorneys that have one and two-page spreads in the phone book and go hunting.

If that misspelling is the worst I do today, it will be a good day.

Actually it was spelled correct but the word was misapplied.

When was the last time the District of Criminals was downsized?

THAT is the very point of the statement. My point is, the only way we will be able to eliminate from power those who are enslaving and destroying the nation, is to CLOSE the Rogue Departments where they draw paychecks. The only path out of this mess is EXACTLY THAT. Move any worthwhile functions back to the States and send the suckling federal leeches out in the cold. Romney is one man, he will not be a Dictator. Enough pressure on him and it will improve. What we currently have is an Organized Commie Takeover of the US Government. IT MUST BE DEFEATED.

If that happens, our troops will rebel and kill the foreign troops.

And troops have families, too, and they talk.

Just *ONE* rogue Trident sub can ruin a dictator's whole day.

Cheers!

This is the point of the DREAM act. Fill out military with foreigners who have no loyalty to America and no kinship with Americans.

The DREAMers will draw down on and shoot us with no compunctions. Further, since they are a DREAMer they will not question orders lest they be considered insubordinate and lose their position

Agreed. Considering how fast the word would get out that guns were forcibly being taken, you can bet people will organize and react quickly. Then you just might see the ol “blood in the streets” scenario.

Nobody ever talks about the other scenario where we confiscate the government’s arms and ammo.

This lawyer is a moron.

There are so many ways that I can only touch upon the most obvious, any or all agencies that participate in enforcing, investigating and collection have to at some point interact with the general public.

They have to buy groceries, fuel, take their children to school.

They think they could be un-noticed, that their employees will face absolutely no interaction with others that will inevitably lose family members defending the pursuit of liberty or give me death?

Its far easier to just attack those who even suggest gun grabbing ahead of time, especially if they are card carrying communists. The socialistic agenda slated for America depends solely on a non-gun society.

As long as Americans are armed to the teeth communists walk on broken glass, for the last 4 years they have become bold, and they are even more dangerous now than ever.

Obamas parting wishes may very well be a salt the earth scenario and he may mandate a gun grab program regardless of the consequences, and it will be to smite America for rejecting his socialistic agenda.

Let’s coordinate so we don’t waste time going after the same target set.

As a loyal American, I would never keep and bear arms in any manner that threatened the Constitution of the United States. Why would any lawful government want to disarm me? Why would I want to obey any unlawful government? If some anti-American thug takes over the apparatus of our government and attempts to disarm American citizens, the correct response is obvious.
