When the phone didn’t ring, I knew it was Sen. Katherine Clark (D-Melrose).
Perhaps you remember the freshman solon. She embarrassed herself more than somewhat last May when she lamely attempted to defend the fake Indian, Elizabeth Warren, on MSNBC. Sgt. (Ed) Schultz, of all people, was shaking his head in disbelief at the lies Granny had been spouting about her claim to American Indian heritage, first reported in the Herald.
Sen. Clark, moonbat that she is, corrected Schultz.
“It’s been demonstrated by some of the research that has been done that in fact, there are records that support that claim.”
That was a flat-out falsehood. There are no such records, period. And when Clark spoke on May 21, everybody knew what she’d said was wrong, wrong, wrong. Everybody except maybe readers of the Boston Globe, which hadn’t yet corrected its story about Warren’s grandparents’ “marriage application,” which never did exist.
Fast forward to Friday. Sen. Clark was holding “office hours” (which she confirmed for me before taking it on the lam). One of my radio listeners showed up and asked the senator about her whopper on MSNBC.
According to my listener, this is what the senator said:
“I am telling you frankly that I thought there was a marriage certificate at the time. I was wrong. ... The (MSNBC) interview took an unexpected turn, and I wasn’t prepared.”
My listener then reached out to my fellow Indian tracker, Michael Patrick Leahy of Breitbart.com, who originally busted Granny and the Globe on their phony “marriage” story. Friday night, Leahy broke the news online about Sen. Clark’s retraction, which she made three-and-a-half months late. Sen. Clark hadn’t seen the story when I phoned her Friday night, but she assured me she’d get right back to me once she read it and put her kids to bed.
After getting no response, I called her again yesterday morning and got ... voice mail. What a surprise.
I don’t really blame Sen. Clark for anything except gullibility. She went to Cornell Law, so she probably assumed Harvard’s “first woman of color” was on the level. I guess what they don’t teach you in the Ivy League is that assumptions are the mother of bleep-ups.
Speaking of which, did you see the fake Indian at the convention Wednesday night? How can someone who based her entire academic career on a falsehood repeatedly use the word “rigged” with a straight face on national TV? She said “nobody gets a free ride” — except her. She wants a “level playing field” — for everybody not cynical enough to deal themselves a race card off the bottom of the deck.
Granny envisions a world where “everyone is held accountable” — except herself.
Lieawatha was so smug she didn’t even rewrite a lot of her now-exposed fictionalized biography. In Charlotte she continued to claim she was raised “on the ragged edge of the middle class” — with a mere three cars in the Herring family driveway in 1965, including her personal white MG sports car.
Granted, she no longer mentions her Indian “heritage,” or the “intellectual foundations” she once bragged of providing for Occupy Wall Street, or how people on Wall Street supposedly tell her only she can “save” capitalism.
But Fauxcahontas has a new favorite word — “toes.” It seemed odd when she told the Oklahoma Hall of Fame she was “Okie to my toes.” But in prime time last week, she worked in her lower digits yet again.
“I’m grateful, down to my toes.”
Still, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Another of Warren’s favorite stump-speech verbs is “hammer,” as in “the middle class is getting hammered.” They got hammered twice more Wednesday night.
Then the dismal new unemployment numbers came out Friday, and guess what. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that one of the few bright spots in the national jobs picture is that restaurants and bars are hiring.
Apparently, the middle class is in fact getting “hammered.” At their neighborhood taprooms and gin mills.
As for you Sen. Clark, I’m still waiting for my callback.

Massachusetts State Senator Katherine Clark, who in May defended embattled Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren's claims of Native American ancestry on MSNBC, told one of her constituents today that she is retracting her support of those claims.
At a regularly scheduled constituent meeting Friday morning, Clark told her constituent, whose first name is Catherine and who has a Twitter account at @museofhistory:
I am telling you frankly that I thought there was a marriage certificate at the time. I was wrong.
The constituent said that Senator Clark seemed genuinely contrite, and told her "the [MSNBC] interview took an unexpected turn, and I wasn't prepared."
According to @museofhistory, the Senator approved of her sending out a tweet describing the conversation. This afternoon, she sent this tweet out:

In addition to @museofhistory, half a dozen other constituents were in attendance at the meeting. When it was over, Senator Clark posed for a photograph with @museofhistory.
Breitbart News has contacted Senator Clark's office for a follow up statement. Specifically, we want to know why it took Senator Clark three and a half months to publicly acknowledge her error.
Calls to the Elizabeth Warren campaign for comment were unreturned.
Obviously then, I am part Passamaquoddy. Therefore, I accept the claims of Princess Fauxcahontas, especially since she, after election, might be able to get me a slice of that $400 Mil my tribe won for being screwed while ME was ruled by the MAssholes of the 18th C.
In return, I promise to boost her Injun bona fides by showing her how to build a birchbark canoe (as soon as I finish the Wooden Boat article), make moosehide mocassins, and burn out the cabins of settlers from MA (torturing the settlers of course).

The Pow Wow Chow cookbook is important in Granny Warren’s biography for two reasons. First, it marks the first time Granny “comes out,” as it were, as an Indian, two years before she checked the box on the Penn Law School employment application form and began her meteoric rise in race-quota obsessed academia. Consider Pow Wow Chow her spring training, her exhibition season in lying about her alleged heritage. Within just a few years after the first little white (get it?) lie, she had transformed herself into Harvard’s “first woman of color.”
Second, this is the first instance we see of the blue-eyed squaw plagiarizing other people’s works. Of the three allegedly Indian recipes she contributed to Pow Wow Chow, two were cribbed directly from The New York Times’ French-restaurant critic, who had been the chef at the most expensive Gallic restaurant in Manhattan, Le Pavilion. The chef said one of the recipes – for cold crab omelet – was a favorite dish of those well-know sachems and medicine men, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Cole Porter.
Lieawatha lifted the third recipe from a 1959 edition of Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
As you watch, be sure to listen for the Indian war whoops coming from the cars passing through Kelly Square. And one final point: how often does Fauxchahontas wear that pink-red thing she’s got on? At least every other day. Granny, you’re a one-percenter, surely you can afford to buy some new clothes.

Tryst of fate: Aide makes out fine in run for rep

How much has changed for Diana DiZoglio — last year, she was the “Mystery Woman” of the State House, found at 4 a.m. in the darkened House chambers with a freshman rep two years her junior.
Now, DiZoglio is the Democratic nominee for a seat in the House, having upset an incumbent solon in the primary last week. What a great riches-to-rags-to-riches story, right Diana?
“I would love to talk to you,” the former Mystery Woman told me Monday. “I would be happy to talk to you. Let me get back to you. Thank you for your interest.”
And that was the last I heard from her. Called her back yesterday, over and over again, but she’d apparently stopped picking up her phone.
What’s the problem, Diana? You and that younger state rep, Mark Cusack, were both cleared by House Speaker Bobby DeLeo of any “inappropriate behavior.”
At the time, DiZoglio was the aide to Rep. Paul Adams, a freshman Republican rep now running for the state Senate.
That didn’t last long after her late-night escapades. Last fall, the Wellesley College graduate wrote an article for the Valley Patriot about her “life-ruining experience,” describing how she lost her job and her car and had been cleaning toilets to survive.
“I am tired,” she wrote, “I am broke, and for months I have been trying my best to not completely lose it.”
Eventually she decided to run against Rep. Dave Torrisi of North Andover, a machine hack who was first elected in 1998. He’s 43, and this description of him in the Eagle Tribune says it all: “He is an attorney, although so far he hasn’t practiced law.”
Every year, one or two of these overconfident hacks get knocked off in the primaries. This time it was Torrisi’s turn — and Sal LaMattina’s in Boston.
DiZoglio had learned well from her old boss, Paul Adams, who went door to door in 2010 in his winning campaign. She spent the summer walking the district, eventually knocking on 4,400 doors. And now she’s one step away from a Beacon Hill reunion with Rep. Mark Cusack. He did not return a call yesterday.
In case you were wondering, Diana is not bad looking, and she probably looks better after losing 18 pounds during her summer walking tour of the 14th Essex.
But she has one final obstacle to overcome, Republican candidate Karin Rhoton.
“My husband tells me I’m pretty attractive, too,” Rhoton says.

Hack state rep tries to get rival arrested

The hack du jour is state Rep. Denise Andrews (D-Orange). She may be the most desperate politician in Massachusetts this year.
She is so desperate that she accused her GOP opponent of buying cocaine — and didn’t have some coatholder make the allegation anonymously, but did it herself, in person, to the chief of police in her rival’s hometown of Athol.
Rep. Andrews then doubled down, telling the chief that one of his cops had gone to her opponent’s home and taken the cocaine away from her and brought it back to the station house.
Turns out, the cop she accused wasn’t on duty that day. And Andrews’ rival wasn’t even in Athol that day. Denise Andrews told the chief her source was another Athol cop who said the drug dealer who sold the coke had called the police station after the transaction.
That happens a lot, right? A coke dealer makes a sale and then dimes out a paying customer for no reason. But of course, that didn’t really happen either. The chief checked the phone logs and there were no such dime drops on the day in question, just like there was no cocaine logged into the drug locker that day.
Other than all of the above, Rep. Andrews’ story totally stood up. Just like U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s fact-free accusations against Mitt Romney last month.
The Athol chief handled everything strictly by the book, as well he should have. The GOP candidate, Susannah Whipps Lee, is the chairman of the Board of Selectmen in Athol. The chief asked her to come in to the police station.
“I was shocked when the chief told me somebody had accused me of buying cocaine,” Lee said the other night. “I was even more shocked when he told me that these completely fabricated and scurrilous allegations were made by my opponent.”
Attempts were made to reach Rep. Andrews. But she was apparently not available yesterday.
But Andrews did issue a statement defending her actions, sort of. She claimed she got the information from a “concerned constituent.”
“The constituent’s concern was that if this was in fact true, there was a gross injustice occurring.”
Lee responded: “The gross injustice is her filing a false report against both a citizen and a police officer. It’s dirty politics and bullying — bullying to muscle me out. I think it’s fabricated, I think it’s all made up.”
Of course, Andrews could prove she didn’t concoct the story out of thin air by identifying the “cop” who gave her the bogus information. But she’s citing hack-concerned constituent privilege, saying she will not “divulge that constituent’s name to any person or agency without the permission of the constituent.”
After she spoke to the chief, Lee says, “I went through the humiliation of getting a drug test at my local hospital, just to prove I was clean.”
Harry Reid must be proud. He’s started a real trend among his fellow Democrats here.
