Man shoots attempted robber at Detroit gas station(MI)

DETROIT -

A man is in the hospital after being shot when he allegedly tried to rob a man who had a gun at a gas station on Detroit’s west side.

According to police, a man stopped at Sunoco Gas Station near Joy and Hubbell roads Friday night. He went into the station and when he was walking back to his car two men attacked him and tried to rob him.

“I think it’s just terrible, it’s bold,” said a woman who asked not to be identified.

During the altercation, the man pulled a gun, which he is licensed to carry, and fired one round at one of the suspected robbers. He struck him in the chest, the other man got away.

This sort of action does a great deal to reduce crime.

Before MI passed the CCW law carjackings were rampant. They would wait by traffic lights and just drag people out of stopped cars and drive away in them.

That doesn't happen much now.

In a lot of these stories you see the black neighbors wanting the crime cleaned up. Then, when the cops do so, damn Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton type people go berserk.

People got tired of that. Now THEY are shooting the criminals daid.

carjackings were rampant.

I know three guys who worked at my plant on Detroit's east side who were shot in attempted hijackings. And about 5 years ago a racquetball buddy's daughter was shot at as she waited for a light at Cadieux and Outer Drive while on her way home from work at about 11:30 p.m.

And I also know at least 8 other guys from my plant who were just plain murdered for whatever reason......
