Obama On 9/11: 'We Will Never Be At War With Islam'

This week, we mark the eleventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks. It’s a time to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent men, women and children we lost, and the families they left behind. It’s a chance to honor the courage of the first responders who risked their lives — on that day, and every day since. And it’s an opportunity to give thanks for our men and women in uniform who have served and sacrificed, sometimes far from home, to keep our country safe.
This anniversary is about them. It’s also a time to reflect on just how far we’ve come as a nation these past eleven years.
On that clear September morning, as America watched the towers fall, and the Pentagon burn, and the wreckage smoldering in a Pennsylvania field, we were filled with questions. Where had the attacks come from, and how would America respond? Would they fundamentally weaken the country we love? Would they change who we are?
The last decade has been a difficult one, but together, we have answered those questions and come back stronger as a nation.
We took the fight to al Qaeda, decimated their leadership, and put them on a path to defeat. And thanks to the courage and skill of our intelligence personnel and armed forces, Osama bin Laden will never threaten America again.
Instead of pulling back from the world, we’ve strengthened our alliances while improving our security here at home. As Americans, we refuse to live in fear. Today, a new tower rises above the New York skyline. And our country is stronger, safer and more respected in the world.

2012 is an important year to remember 9/11 because our younger generations are the most in danger of forgetting what really happened.
Or worse, our younger generations are susceptible to getting a politically correct view of 9/11. Many on the Left have tried to turn 9/11 into a “day of national service” or a celebration of tolerance, instead of remembering that radical jihad attacked this nation because of our western values.

He is truly delusional.
Fallujah is one of those “fightin’ words” to me.
Some may not be at war with islam. I am.
It may be passive, and it may, with a islamic uprising become offensive.
But it is war none the less.
I am too; the so called ‘extremists’ who in reality are being true to their diseased faith, and the ‘moderate’ pussies who stand by silently and don’t condemn the extremists. I spit on their beliefs.
Islam disagrees.
The job has not been properly conducted nor completed.
Opportunists have used this crisis to infringe our liberties.
A couple of small A-Bombs would have delivered a stronger message than 11 years of chasing muzzies and 5th Column traitors at a lower cost.
If they wanted to be ‘compassionate’ ‘this time’, a 36-hour notice could have been given to get out of town because it was going to be gone.
The desert would have been full of wandering muzzies. Their own kind then should have looked after them. Instead we nation-build for the thankless scum.
Like others have posted, I am in a hot war with Is-Slime.
No way this is a religion and no way should civilization tolerate the 6th century sand monkeys and their cult of hate.
