Mitt Romney electoral vote lead holds strong through both conventions

Dean Chambers

......

The state polls and race for electoral votes shows to be unchanged from the last GOP2112 analysis of the electoral vote race published here August 25, 2012. Not a single state has moved into a different category since then, and Romney maintains the electoral vote lead of 317 to 179 over Obama with 42 electoral votes from Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Mexico and Oregon remaining in toss-up status. The map above shows which ways the states are leaning in this presidential race.

Here is information and analysis on some of the key swing states: ....

Its complete bullsh*t that a mere two or three states, essentially, can keep the inept marxist kenyan in this race.

That goof at the NYT, Nate Silver, already has the invitations printed for Obama’s second inaugural.

Oregon, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania are tossups? I don’t think so.

Is this from the Onion? Romney is trailing in WI, MI, OH and FL. Also PA, OR, and MN are not toss ups. They are deep blue 0bama states.

I’m surprised they put Oregon, NM and PA in the tossup side. I always thought they were going for Obama.

In fact, I had all but given up on OR and NM.

Also, why is Michigan leaning Romney? Ins’t this the UAW and the GM state? I’d expect them to lean Obama because of the GM and Chrysler bailouts.

Yah, seems off, but NM poll today has Romney within 5 in likely voters. So, “tossup” maybe? Certainly “leaning” Obama is as far as I’d go.

Not sure about this map’s call but it is the correct approach in that our Presidential election is by states rather than a winner take all popular vote nationally. There will be less than a dozen swing states in which this election will be determined, imo.

Almost total confusion...Gallup poll, Rasmussen Reports Daily Tracking Poll, Who’s on first, What’s on second, I Don’t Know’s on third...?!

I, too, hope this one is correct.

Indeed. This Examiner graphic must have come straight from The Onion

NM has one of the highest rates of welfare dependency in the US. It should be squarely in the Obama column.

2012 is an important year to remember 9/11 because our younger generations are the most in danger of forgetting what really happened.

Or worse, our younger generations are susceptible to getting a politically correct view of 9/11. Many on the Left have tried to turn 9/11 into a “day of national service” or a celebration of tolerance, instead of remembering that radical jihad attacked this nation because of our western values.

Question: How can the aggregate of voters below 50 be in favor of Obama and Romney be ahead, much less by this much? There can’t be that many more 50 and above voters. Anyone know the % of population below 50 and 50 and above?

Don’t you love middle America? I’ll always love America. I graduate from law school next spring at 65. Maybe there’s something I can do to help, I hope.

OK, I felt good for about a minute until I read your post. I don’t want to live in a fool’s paradise. Can you post a verifiably more accurate map or a link to one?

Pennsylvania is not a deep blue state, you’re just wrong about that.

Think of it as “Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with Alabama in between”. :)
