Gallup polling today put Obama ahead of Mitt Romney by 4 points after the godless DNC Convention.
Back in 1980 Gallup had Jimmy Carter up over Ronald Reagan by 4 points in mid to late September… And, Carter was up 8 points in October. In fact there was a published Gallup poll showing Carter up six among likely voters in a poll conducted Oct. 24 to 27.
Ronald Reagan ended up winning by 9 points and taking 44 states.
People with old values and common sense and cultural decency have passed on. Coming into the voting electorate has been all manner of massive illegal aliens, felons, young people with no knowledge of history or economy, and most dangerously, a growing swath of the opiated population who want "free stuff." This aint the America of 1980 and I will tell you right here, what with the mean teamed 24/7 with Obama and a dumbed down electorate, ANYTHING is possible, and he in fact could well be reelected and at this point, I think all indications are that Barack Obama in fact will be reelected as President.

I love threads like this. To think it is the same electorate from 32 years ago is at best naive. We live in a polarized electorate. Swing voters in certain states may be down to 2 or 3 percent. I have never seen an election all about turnout. The democrats have a very good ground game. I am not sure the idiots ( yes I used the word because I believe Mitt has run a horrible campaign) in Boston realize that only carpet bombing with ads will not work. It takes getting people to the polls. Organizing, registering, calling, knocking on doors. With the fundraising advantage that is where the money should go. Obviously too late for that now. The Dems convention for all the media hype did one thing, it woke up the base. Obama grass roots still in place from primary 08. Turnout is everything.
A big problem is we may hate Obama but they love him. Truth be told we do not love Mitt. Now put that in context with Carter, or Dukakis.

Just one scenario:
People who don’t plan their finacial life look to selling their votes to people who promise them stuff- security, food, retirement, health care, etc.
These whores pretend they’re not selling their votes to baby killers, but . . .
And in the end, the sellers of votes won’t know how to cope with the loss of freedom, everyone’s, icluding their own, that they’ve sold.

Crystal clear, sir. Crystal clear. The problem is Romney square and centre. If the GOP wanted to win, they needed to nominate a candidate that actually represented the base of the party and not the moderate loser wing.
We did this with Dole, and he lost. We did it again with McCain and lost, and apparently they believe the cycle will break with Romney. They are wrong.
But they will nominate moderates as long as they can, because the only worse thing than a choice for Obama is having no choice at all.

We were told he was the only one who could win because he is a Businessman,Fine,maybe he should start acting like a Businessman who has been notified his Dealership is Being Shut down because he is a Republican or that Illegal aliens with AK47s they got from Eric Holder are Raiding his Neighborhood,or he has to sell Cars that are Subsidized by the taxpayers to Build,Buy and sell then Blow up. Then when you go to the Hospital to see your doctor he tells you before I can Treat you I have to know what age you are and if you have ever been sick in your life,because if you have you have already had your Quality of Life years so go home take a Pill for the Pain,then Die.
