I was down in the mouth until listening to Rush reminding us that Carter was ahead at this point over and so was Dukasis. He believes the media is trying to discourage us and frankly they’re doing an effective job. Nothing will stop me from voting and I’m hoping everyone else who will vote for Romney feels as I do.
Yes! I meant 1988... thanks. ;-)
“We saw full blown communism on display at the DNC convention. Delegates wanting to put a cap on profits, booing God three times, unrestricted partial birth abortion paid by tax payers, homosexual advocacy at every level including kindergarten and yet Obama gets 50% approval?
Planet of the Apes, folks. We are living on Planet of the Apes.”
Confusion. The communists (and nazis) were strongly anti-homosexual. Abortion was legal in the USSR but mothers with many children were praised and awarded with a special medal. Puting a cap on profits is communism? Then what are taxes but putting a cap on profits? And taxes have always existed, and at much higher levels than today. Booing God, you don’t have to be a communist to do that, on this day especially, one should make a commitment to “eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” What is religion?
The point I made on other threads is that back in 1988, 50% of the population wasn't collecting some form of government subsidy, i.e., food stamps/EBT cards, welfare, 99 weeks of unemployment benefits, "disability", etc.
Obama and the 'RATs have designed it so more people are receiving government freebies and thus will vote to continue/increase those freebies. We will find out on November 6th if he was successful... if indeed the US has reached that dreaded "tipping point".
I'm NOT "giving up", but the reality is we have a far different electorate now than back in 1988...
Have no fear, FRiend... of course I'll be voting R/R on Election Day!! :-)
