We must say up front that we sympathize with Vice President Biden for the loss of his wife and infant daughter in a 1972 car crash. It is, however, unfortunate that Biden himself lacks the common decency not to misuse and pervert the memory of his spouse and child for political gain, and not to misuse the resources of the U.S. Senate to inflict pain on an innocent family for the same reason.
As reported by Inside Edition, a police investigation of the accident showed that Mrs. Biden pulled into an intersection after she failed to notice an oncoming tractor trailer, which apparently had the right of way. The truck's driver, Curtis Dunn, put his own life at risk in an effort to avoid the collision; he twisted the wheel so hard that he overturned his vehicle. Delaware Online adds emphatically that neither driver had consumed alcohol. Senator Biden, as reported by the New York Times, nonetheless chose to publicly and falsely accuse Mr. Dunn of killing Biden's wife and child while driving drunk (emphasis added):

Four years ago when JB was running for president, there was a story in the local paper saying how terrible these lies are to the memory of Mr. Dunn. The accident (for which he was not responsible) derived him of most joy in his later life, according to his children.
So you’re giving this liar a pass? The only one stooping low is Biden and he needs to be called on it. He’s a bum.
And probably would have been forgotten if the VP didn't keep bringing it up and LYING about it. He is slandering the memory of an innocent dead man (whose family still lives locally).

Biden was lying about this for 30+ years after. It is NOT ok to accuse someone of this when they were not guilty. It is never ok and the story should never have died. I”ve brought this up on many boards, like over a HuffPO and I’m called sick because I assert Biden owes the Dunn family an apology. those people don’t want to know the truth and they, along with the media have obviously desensitized people to the decades of horrible slander and lies perpetuated by Biden in regards to this. No wonder they have absolutely no problem slaughtering unborn babies.....what a cold bunch!

*THIS* is the Demoncrat Party way. "Little people" are absolutely expendable in the furtherance of "the agenda". Ms. Kopechne and Mr. Dunn are prime examples of "little people" sacrificed on the altar of "the agenda". It is more than enough to turn the stomach of any decent human being...
