Mr. Romney, Time to Show Us The Money
American Thinker ^ | Sept. 11, 2012 | Rob Cunningham

Posted on 09/11/2012 3:46:47 AM PDT by RobaWho

President Obama's pledge of fundamental transformation and the United States Constitution cannot coexist. In 2012, the American people can elect twenty new Jim Demints, one hundred new Marco Rubios and two hundred Sarah Palins. All to no avail if Obama is reelected. Without Mitt Romney sitting in the White House, we will have been checkmated by the anti-America, anti-western, progressive movement. I know it, Obama knows it, the media knows it. And now, you know it.

“Mr. Romney, the time for bold truth is now. Americans are adults and we crave truth. Voters deserve your respect and our current dire conditions demand your candor. Without use of vile invectives, hateful tones or childish insults, you must take the gloves off and speak truth to grossly corrupted power.”

All we want is something simple...like the truth!

ABO makes sense.

I fear we have a number of conservatives who, due to Romney's lies, past liberal leanings, and lack of any conservative stances while governor, will not vote for him. Many are on this site.

Everyone needs to understand that it is incrementally better to have Romney in than 0bama for the next four years.

Thanks so much. True conservatives and tea party patriots, of which I call myself, will have our hands full holding Romney accountable. We’ll be neutered, mocked and totally ignored in Obama’s 2nd term.

It does seem to me that like his predecessor, McPain, “R”-AZ, Romney does not have the fire in the belly to win after all. Why is that, and why do Republican primary voters err time after time?

Agree 100%.

I have always had the highest respect for someone who takes a stand and sticks by it. I have also had the highest respect for someone that can view the big picture and put aside their stubborn ‘all or nothing’ beliefs for something much more important than their own selfish pride.

Those who absolutely refuse to vote for Romney because he is not a true Conservative or think that he will turn us into a “Mormon Nation” are acting like children who do not want to share a candy bar with their little sister/brother.

This election is different. America’s future is in jeopardy. We cannot withstand four more years of assault on our freedoms.

Four more years of avowed Communists being appointed to top positions with the power to enslave our children.

Four more years of Executive orders without regard to the will of the majority.

Four more years under Obama’s rule will destroy America and everything we love about our country.

The time has come to bite the bullet and pull the lever for Romney/Ryan.

If Romney is elected, this will at least allow us a chance to live to fight another day, to thwart off a total Communist takeover of our government.

Romney/Ryan 2012 is the only answer at this time.

I believe Romney wants to win and is trying hard as he can to win. As to a fire in his belly, it might be there but with his personality it's not obvious.

Any idiots out of selfish, prideful conviction do so at their own and my peril. Anyone now, when it is too late for Palin, too late for anyone other than Romney, who sits on their arse or votes for other than Romney in the private voting booth is a traitor. There is no case to be made for being “a patriot” when we have these two choices...oh, sure, time for rebellion...really, where? How? Care to predict what 2016 looks like? We won’t be here if Romney loses. Carry him with all his flaws, contradictions, lies, squishyness over the finish line. Then, and only then, worry about all else.Oh, and care to predict what Nov 9th to Jan 31 will look like? Cloward/Piven anyone? Want to see what chaos of exec orders can do to a congress and SCOTUS and the people??? Wake up!

We will absolutely wrest control away from the corrupt GOPe if we live to fight another day, because “We the People” have the DeMints, Rubios and Palins on our side. We MUST survive to fight another day. Electing Romney buys us the time we must have to continue as a nation.

Because [Obama] simply no longer needs a [D]emocratic majority in the House or the Senate to press his fundamental transformation of America forward.

That's a very, very important point. Bambi ceased to pay even lip-service to the legislature about 2 years through his term. He has simply circumvented them by issuing executive orders, and this has gone unchallenged for so long that it would be impossible to challenge it now.

Those who are thinking they will only vote down-ticket and not vote for Romney should consider this. I was one of them myself, because I really dislike Romney and he's way too liberal on just about everything, but unless we get Obama out of there, it's not going to matter how many GOPers we have in the legislature.

You get it. Thanks. Many here simply pout, spew sophomoric nonsense which reminds me of those who were certain voting Perot would change the rotation of the earth back in ‘92.

Beyond all the reasoned and correct arguments to vote Obama out: the judiciary. Give Obama 4 more years to stack the federal district and appellate courts? At that point it won’t matter who is in the executive or legislative branch for a generation... Obama judges will run our lives.

Thank you! It may seem overly simplistic to distill this election down to “Romney or else” - yet, there is often massive power in fundamental truths. Case in point - “Thou shall not kill.” Anything but a vote FOR Romney is a direct or indirect act of destroying freedom, liberty and our Constitutiom.

“Perot would change the rotation of the earth back in ‘92.”

It did, but not in the way they intended. Actions have consequences. Committing suicide still results in death, we still remember the 600 that rode into the Valley of Death, but not one of the Perot voters will ever be remembered or honored. They will be remembered for their perfidy which lead us to Clinton and strengthened the Democrats. Here we are at the O.

Your Perot analogy is perfect for our times. For any voter that abstains from voting over “principle” (not getting their way) are, in essence, supporting Obama’s re-election. We should all remember our Founding Fathers believed honorable citizens that volunteered to serve in Government should prioritize actions in this order: Country, Party, Self. Unfortunately, today, we have inverted these priorities (both parties have), putting self-interest & personal enrichment/ambition first, party second and the best interests of our nation, dead last. Refusing to vote for Romney is putting self-interest before country.

“Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” ~ Ronald Reagan, from his first inaugural speech as governor of California, January 5, 1967

Ronald Reagan’s warning about losing our freedoms echoes down through a generation of lost momentum and squandered opportunity.

We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.

I have long said that the very moment that Romney becomes the nominee, Obama wins another 4 years. I truly want him to prove me wrong, but damn it, Romney must fight to win. This race shouldn’t even be close.

Obama has gotta go....

I hear you, Gator113. I even penned an article entitled, “Committing Romneycide” in protest of my disdain for him becoming the “next in line” handpicked GOP elite nominee. The will of the informed, educated, energized voter base be damned. Today, “it is what it is” and we can’t reverse the hands of time. I have to get over myself. Country, Party, Self. And just for fun, Go DAWGS!! And have fun with Tennessee this Saturday.
